The staff were friendly and efficient, especially Mr Joseph.
Great location. Easy walks to some places or a short metro ride. Try the 116 bus to the Pantheon for a white knuckle ride!
Room was quite small but comfortable. Nice bathroom. Room could do with a few 'extras' - a clock, more info on the hotel, more drawer space or somewhere to lay your suitcase without filling the room.

we stayed here July 11-14 on the 3rd floor. i like the wood floors, high ceilings, decent size room. bathroom was small, but clean and nice. nice soft sheets and decent towels (I am picky). we were able to walk to almost all major sites from here. i would stay here again for sure. we paid 543 euro for 4 nights which included a decent(not great) breakfast buffet - scrambled eggs, hard boiled, tea, coffee, pastries, meats, cheeses, etc

I travel a lot for my business, I go very often to Rome, a city a really love. Usually I like find hotel in down town, close to Via Veneto (La dolce vita). This hotel is nothing special, but it is in very good position, not too far from the most important monument and intresting place, very good for me because I have to run a lot... the breakfast was ok, the room was clean but the service is not friendly. The doorman book for me a restaurant twice: Alex Café and Rossini. Alex is nice place in Via Veneto, good quality of service but the food doesn't taste. Rossini is the wrost restaurant I ate ever!!! It Is no italians work inside, only africans and romanian! They serve only junk food for tourist and the prices of the outside menus are different inside. If you don't understand yet, I love eat the good food. Anyway, the last day I found by myself, a very good family restaurant: Ristorante Barberini. It is behind the hotel, I had a great meals and service, the prices was "true" and the owner is an incredibile funny cute man. Such as a living monument for Piazza Barberini. So, if you need essential hotel in a good position, Hotel Imperiale is the place for you, but don't trust in the doormen.

The Hotel Imperiale has a staff and management that build their business on robbing their customers. Be sure that when you book this hotel and need to cancel, you will never be able to. The management will tell you that it was not done in the proper way or that they did not receive it via the proper website (although they did receive it) and ultimately charge you full price for rooms you had cancelled more than the required 24 hour notice. I stayed at the hotel for one night but was charged for 2 rooms for two nights. Can you imagine paying almost $800 for one night for one person? This was my welcome to Rome, Italy. Thank God I found some other hotels who were far better and fair about this. DON"T EVER STAY AT THE IMPERIALE because they will cheat you and the front desk people lie like a rug.

  • Liked — convenient location
  • Disliked — the front desk staff was rude and not trustworthy in dealing with me; also, advertised internet service was false
