We checked into this hotel after taking a tour of Rome and saw the lovely Via Veneto, land of La Dolce Vita. It is one of the real triples, where the twin bed for 11-year old son was in a separate seating area, with a large curtain to separate the rooms. Bedroom was very nice and bathroom too. They should work a bit on the breakfast and the coffee, I had the only bad coffee (from a coffee urn) I have ever had in Italy!! We loved the restaurant outside the hotel -- for dinner an drinks.

The first day our shower was plugged, second day the drain under the sink leaked all over the floor. They forgot our wake up call 2 different days almost causing us to miss our tour and our plane home. Would not recommend. Have traveled the world extensively and this is definately not a 4 star hotel for Europe.

Myself & my husband stayed in the Hotel Imperiale for 4 nights in March 2009. We advanced booked & got a double room (B&B) at a very cheap price. The hotel room was spacious, clean & comfortable. Italian TV with Eurosport & CNN were available - no opportunity for paid movies, etc which is a pity but with so much to do in Rome that isn't really an issue. The batchroom was also spacious, marble and very clean. The bath was fitted to be a jacuzzi but this did not work. Breakfast was good in my opinion. There was a selection of cooked meats, breads, cereals, etc. There was no hot food however and as previous reviews stated the juice is very poor and also the coffee was only so so. We did not eat in the hotel restaurants as there are so many good little Italian restaurants to choose from. We found the hotel staff very friendly & helpful. The hotel rooms were cleaned every day & we had no issues here either. Our room was very quiet, the only thing we heard were church bells!
Overall I would definately reccommend this hotel to others, its a lovely hotel, nice staff and in a good location.

This hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and the rooms are large and clean. We arrived by 11am and there was no problem checking into our room straight away, so that we could get out and check out the city. The hotel is very close to the metro and within easy walking distance of the Trevi Fountain. The breakfast were really nice and had something for everyone, even though breakfast finishes at 10am the staff were refilling the buffet at 9.55!

The hotel is situated well i Rome. Easy to go to most of the famous places, easy to reach the Metro, get a taxi and easy to go to the bus-trips around the city.
If you have rooms out against the street you must expect some noise. The rooms in the front are, to our opinion, some small. No good chair to rest in.
BUT, DO NOT book your stay when Venezuelan girls on there yearly rountrip i Europe stay in the hotel. There are not disiplin, and it seems that the reception or the girs leaders do not care if the girls are keeping the other guests awake most of the night. Sorry about that, but it looked more like a kindergarden than i four-star hotel!!
Otherwise the service was good , and the restaurant service was very good.

  • Liked — The restaurant service
  • Disliked — Living in the hotel with abt 100 unsivilised Venezuelan girls keeping me awake half the niight!!!
