“Very good and very clean!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

The room was spacious enough, warm and well decorated. The view from the 4th flour was fantastic!A corner room with a view to the Trajan's forum !!Everyday we had our room cleaned. Tηe bathroom was spacious with exact the same view!! THe location of the hotel is fantastic! In the middle of the imperial Rome!!The wifi was working just fine!! Breakfast buffet was very good! I
f you ask me the disadvantages I would say. 1)The price. Both room and breakfast were a little bit expensive, 2) something minor: I asked for a double bed and there were 2 single beds pushed together under a double sheet with 2 quite used single mattresses!

Room Tip: corner rooms in every flour have the best view!!

We stayed for 5 days .To get up each morning and have breakfast in the restaurant is a wonderful
Experience. The breakfast staff were lovely especially the lady who helped with my medication.
The room was cleaned very well everyday, with the bedding changed.
Had a lovely evening meal overlooking the Forum, again good service.
The reception did everything we asked them to do.Perhaps a smile helps?
The location is second to none in Rome.
Yes maybe the rooms need furniture updates but who cares!

We had conference meeting at this hotel and I have only good feelings about it. Very cosy rooms, delicious food, very friendly staff. The conference room met all the requirements. Though one had to go out the hotel and enter the next door to get into the conference room it wasn't a trouble. The bar at the hotel served one of the tastiest limonchellos I've ever tried.

i stayed here for three nights in October '13 the room was clean and tidy but a bit dark. The staff at the reception were not that friendly however the staff in the restaurant were nice. The hotel is located in the middle of the Roman Forum and a short walk to most attractions. Some very nice restaurants located within a couple of minutes walk.

Fantastic hotel, I cannot find a single fault with it.

Upon arrival at the airport, the hotel had booked a taxi to pick us up, as requested. We arrived before our room was ready so left our bags with staff on reception and visited the Colosseum. If you want a hotel that is close to everything this is it. Colosseum 5 min walk, Trevi Fountain 10mins. We walked everywhere during our stay.

Our room was beautiful and spacious, it had everything we needed and excellent views.

The staff were very polite and accommodating. We did not have any problems with the cleaning staff being loud as stated in other reviews, but we were always up early anyway as there was lots to see and do.

Food and drink: the buffet was included with the room rate. Food was lovely, very European consisting of cereals, toast, hams, cheeses, fruit and lots of cakes and pastries. There were a few hot options, bacon and scrambled egg. The rooftop bar had excellent views over the Roman Forum although drinks are a little pricey.

Tips when out and about: If you want to visit the Colosseum make sure you buy your ticket from the Palantine Hill/ Roman Forum entrance then head back to the colosseum and enter the group side. It saves you so much time 20mins queue compared to 2hours at the colosseum!

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor away from the noise of the road.

One of my biggest disappointment of any hotels booked thru internet. The hotel's web site says "spacious, luxurious rooms", minibar (what you would anyway expect from a 4 star hotel in Europe!) and free wifi. The truth is that our room was not bigger than 12 sq metres (129 sq ft), there was no any minibar at all in the room (not even a bottle of water, which is really annoying returning from a whole day city walk in Rome, or in the middle of the night) and however there was a wifi in the hotel but our room (as well as our friends's) was out of its signal reception area. At check in the reception already admitted that the rooms we get are bad and they going to change next day (it never happened, and anyway, you dont want to move after one night when you only come for two nights). About the wifi they promised that they will fix it (never happened), When I complained on the first evening because of the size asd the absance of the minibar the receptionist answer was only "relax Sir, there are much bigger problems (in the World)". Next day her boss was not less ignorant either: "I am sorry you don't like it. You are true that it is small but nice and modernized." And of course nothing happened at all! I would never ever go back to this hotel despite the nice view from the rooftop terrace and the restaurant. (on one evening we ordered a drink on the terrace. Nothing happened for about 15 mins. Than a light rain (some drops) started and they said that they would not serve when raining. Look for another hotel! there are plenty in Rome!

Our hotel is situated in front of the Roman Fora and the rooms, in the most beautiful area of the antic Rome, are not as large as in a modern hotel.
The WiFi usually works well and we don't understand why it didn't during your stay.
We are really surprised that our staff didn't care to your requests as they are always available and nice regarding the guests wishes.
The American Bar in the Rooftop can't serve the guests outside when it's raining and in this case it is transfered in the lobby.

I stayed for 3 nights as a solo traveller. My room on the second floor was a good size with lovely large bathroom. The staff were very friendly, I was always greeted with a smile when coming back in from sight seeing. I discovered the hotel worked on a different electricity supply to other hotels I had stayed at in Rome, so my adaptor didn't work, but a very kind gentleman on Reception managed to find a couple to lend me to save buying one.

I was directly opposite the Irish bar over the road, but had no issues with noise (just the usual level you would expect from a busy city). My only complaint would be the noise levels from the other guests and housekeeping staff. Housekeeping seemed to start very early in the morning and would call down the corridor to each other and they woke me up every morning I was there. I didn't plan on sleeping in late (to much to see) so didn't put out the do not disturb sign first night, then was taken by surprise when housekeeping came in before 8.30am. I didn't expect them at that time as this is when people would be getting ready, having showers etc. and wouldn't want to be disturbed so had to make sure I put the sign out for other mornings.

I didn't eat on the restaurant, but I did go up to enjoy the view (which is amazing).

I would definitely stay here again

We really thank you for having appreciated our hotel and we are happy to read that you will come back.
We have informed the housekeeper about the noises of the staff and she has assured that this will not happen again.
Very best regards.
