Just back from 4 days in Rome, had a lovely trip, but was disappointed by the Hotel.

The Reception is on the first floor & you access by a tiny lift. Rooms were compact, boardering on small but acceptable. There was a tiny TV ( about 20 years old) The shower spluttered hot & cold every day( old pipe works I suspect)
Breakfast was basic .

The best thing about the hotel was the location, its very central & despite the fact that itwas a very basic Hotel, we enjoyed Rome immensely. The weather was great, the sightseeing in Rome was fantastic.

We paid €550 for a 3 night stay in the Giolli, which is not cheap, but I would say this is a 2 star hotel.Not a 3 star !. Anyway I dont want to put anyone off, but Rome was superb, would shop around for a nicer hotel next time around

The room was comfortale and clean,breakfast pretty good,all the staff welcoming and friendly except the older man I had to see often at receptıon .he took my passport,thats Ok,wanted me to do payment every day strictly before the stay still not so bad but hindering my few nice words to be even more serious and asking me the same question everyday made me think what does he look for in this nice hotel?Professionel means make the guest feel at holiday,not try to stick in your eyes how strict they are...While he thinks he is being very professional it is quite unprofessional in tourism business.(Not the thinner nice gentleman, the bigger gentleman)

My friend and I treated ourselves to a holiday in Rome and we couldnt have found a better hotel than the Giolli!!
The location is excellent, right in the heart of town and a few minutes walk from basically anywhere! The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. And the staff was amazingly welcoming and always at our disposal!
For what we could afford the Giolli hotel was absolutely perfect!! We would love to go back and stay there again!!

We just returned from Italy and we were very happy of this superbe country!
We stayed three days in Venice,Two in Florence and three in Rome.
I would like to spend a fwe words about Rome: Its a wonderful an warm city with lots to see. I therefore reccomend the hotel we stayed in, not only because it was very central and near all the famous attractions but because it contributed in making our stay even more confortable and pleasant.
The personnel at the reception gave us all kinds of info we wanted, the breakfast was superb and the atmosphere was very family like!

We strongly reccomend Hotel Giolli if you are planning a holiday in Rome!!!
