Like others, I spent three nights at the Pineta Palace during a Cosmos tour: two nights at the beginning of the tour and one at the end. While the hotel was a bit of a distance from downtown, we had the hotel call us a taxi. It took 20 minutes and cost 20 euro for a ride to the National Museum of Rome. The taxi driver was very social and took us on a little side trip to show us some sites on the way -- we didn't feel taken at all. The return cab was just 17 euro (and this driver refused the tip we offered). But back to the hotel: I found the rooms spacious enough, comfortable enough, and clean. The first room had the bizarre bathroom others described with the sink overlapping the toilet. The second room had a large bathroom. In the first room I did not hear my neighbors but my neighbor's voices and the sound from their TV was noticable n the second room; but it was tolerable and I soon drowned it out. The safe in the second room had no English instructions. The desk quickly sent someone up with the instructions but the battery in the safe was dead but was fixed within 10 minutes.
