Excellent value for money. We paid around 50 Euros a night for room and breakfast. The small restaurant downstairs was of a high standard and better value than those in the city. The Valentine dinner was really enjoyable with about 6 courses for about 35 euros. The hotel shuttle into the city saves a lot on taxi fares and is conveniantly timed.

This hotel is out of the way and hard to find. The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors conversations from 3 rooms down. I heard the bathroom as if it was in my room. The balconies are nice and there is a cute bartender who works in the bar on the evenings who is really nice. The hotel staff are all nice. The rooms were yucky and the tv hardly worked. the bed linen is worse than that at a best western. 4 1/2 stars how? i have stayed at motel 6's with more luxury. The buffet was nasty at best. The eggs were so runny and I never seen that dark of eggs in all my life

We stayed at the Pineta Palace for three nights in July as it was part of a Cosmos tour. Unfortunately I think that my idea of a palace and their idea must be completely different.
The staff did not treat us like 'royalty' in fact they were almost indifferent to us. It was as though they thought, it's only a tour group they will be in and out in a few days anyway, why bother, and they didn't. They did not look happy in their jobs.
We only had one meal there which was just as well because I think that we got served special coach party food. We had some Gnnocchi, (in an effort to call it Italian cuisine), a crumbed chicken pattie, soggy veg, and for dessert a plate of fruit to divide up between a table of eight. Not what I would call Italian food. The only saving grace was that wine was included, it helped to fill a void.
The room were a good size and clean, however our bathroom had the largest hand basin in the world (slight exageration) great if you did want to do you smalls in the sink but it meant that the sink was located over the toilet. Hard to imagine and even harder to use especially if you suffer from a bad back or are larger than average size. My husband had to use the toilet locate downstairs.

It is a little out of the way but that is okay, To go into Rome we used the hotel shuttle, then coming back we used the metro system, which was very cheap but that then required a further 20 minute walk along a very busy road.
If I was an independant traveller I would not use this hotel again I would perhaps try and find something closer to the city.

We were not looking forward to staying here as part of a Cosmos tour of Italy but we were lucky as our room was at the end of the run and had a wonderful view of St. Peters from the balcony. Room was clean as was the linen and bathroom. However the included evening meal was an insult (raw burger of some kind!) and an apple for dessert. Also go early for breakfast as when the bacon has gone thats it!

just come back from a long weekend at this hotel with my boyfriend. i absolutely loved rome and for the purpose(being a place to rest) his hotel was suitable especially for the money. it is kinda out of the way from the centre of the city. but more than do-able!!!!! we couldnt find the hotel at first but once we did it was very comfortable and the staff were extremely helfpul. we explored the whole of rome and it was a comfort to come back to this hotel. the food around the area is much more afordable too, we found it very expensive eating in the centre of rome. all together though i enjoyed my stay and the metro and bus was a experience not a inconvieiance. if you are going for a short trip tho would recommend staying closer to the city tho as you will have more time to fit everything in.

  • Liked — clean and comfortable
