This was a great hotel to stay in. They offered many facilities including internet, breakfast, a bar, ice, ironing, laundry service, et cetera.

Our room had a private patio which was great for sipping some lemoncello on the warm summer evenings in Rome. The bathroom was huge and the service at the front desk was descent.

The one downer about this place is the location. There aren't many restaurants near the hotel and the walk to the main city attractions takes about 45 minutes. There are some forms of public transportation relatively near, but no subway stop.

If you don't mind the walk, do that in the mornings, then catch a cab home when it gets dark. It is less than ten euro to catch a cab from the Spanish Steps.

When we arrived we had to wait for our room with no apology.
The room was very basic and there was no info on the hotel.
We were told we would have to send our clothes to laundry and pay to have them ironed but on the day before we left the information folder apeared and we found out we could of had a iron and coffee making facilities which are basic things that you expect in a 4 star hotel.
I could go on with the complaints so all i tell you is find somewhere else to stay.

We stayed in the Rivoli for 4 nights (Romantic weekend away following our recent wedding). The Hotel is down a pokey side street and has little to offer in the way of facilities. Luckily we found so much to do in Rome that we were hardly at the hotel. We ended up in a double (twin beds, we pushed them together but the cleaner kept seperating them...we took the hint) smoking room which smelt foul, the stale smell was impregnated in the fabric walls. The bath plughole leaked and there was little hot water. The bathroom was well overdue attention.When we went down for breakfast on our first morning we noticed that every single table was full of dirty dishes. I heard other English guests complaining that it was disgusting. There wasnt anything left to eat (if you do go, have breakfast early) the yoghurts (pretty much the only food left) were 2 months out of date!! I pointed this out and got no response from the waiter!!! not even an acknowledgement. The staff were so rude, we asked if we could change rooms due to the smell and were told NO. Eventually we gave up and vowed never to return. Having stayed in a number of 4 star hotels I would struggle to rate it with 3!!! Its not that close to the centre, and to be honest I cant think of anything nice to say about it. If you havent already booked...DONT!!! Rome is such a fantastic place although we did notice that we were always charged TAT (tourist added tax), make a note of how much things are before you ask/order them. I would never recomend this hotel to anyone!!!!

We are a family and stayed there in two rooms, 801 and 802, for 5 nights. The bathrooms urgently need to be fixed. In our room, 802, not only the bathroom was old and looked dirty with stains of leak of water on the ceiling, but there was an ugly smell and water on the floor of the bathroom from a broken pipe.The rooms were spacious and sheets were changed everyday , together with towels, but the floor of the bathroom was not even once mopped. Breakfast was very poor and further more, plates and cups were overused . People working in the breakfast room were impolite. The hotel was supposed to be a four stars hotel but I would grade it two stars mostly.
