We stayed at Condotti for 4 days at the beginning of our 2 week trip to Italy and then again 3 days at the end. We weren't sure where we were staying at the end of our trip, but we had such a good experience at the beginning of our trip that we decided to come back. Though some reviewers were unhappy with the fact that the rooms were around the corner from reception and that they had to walk a few feet to a coffee bar for breakfast we found this of no inconvenience at all. If you travel at all in Europe you understand that rooms are far smaller than in the U.S. We found the rooms clean and comfortable. We actually stayed both in the hotel proper and the rooms around the corner. While those around the corner are newer, the ones in the hotel proper are more charming. They're older and less ample than the newer ones. If you stay in the hotel itself, breakfast is served in the basement. If you're looking for that kind of convenience, you should ask if you can stay at the hotel itself. Otherwise, breakfast is pretty similar in both places (you serve yourself at the hotel; are served at the coffee bar). The lady making the coffees in the basement is a lovely soul with a beautiful voice which she uses to sing some beautiful notes.
We recommend this place for people who know what to expect when traveling abroad. It is a nice little oasis.
We found the folks to be very helpful and kind. There was a young woman who was particularly helpful and with a wonderful New York accent when speaking English.
