Very comfortable room in hotel. Free parking for 4 cars directly outside Hotel (no problems over 3 day stop). Free internet. Breakfast is on the top floor with gorgeous views over Rome to the Vatican - food was good as well. Very friendly staff with GSH. Short walk to Spanish Steps etc. We are not particularly fit but walked from Hotel to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Circus Maximus, Colosseum etc with no issues (apart from overdose of culture for yours truly!). Be warned, simple Burger and chips plus drink for 2 will cost in excess of 50 euros in Rome. Nice meal 100 plus euros.

It is a nice hotel of 4 stars, close to Piazza di Spagna and to the Trevi fountain, so it is in a very nice and convenient place and I could hear no noise when I was in the room. Via Veneto (street) is around the corner of the hotel where thare are nice restaurants and shops.
The breakfast was perfect (maybe the variety was not great but everything was fresh and very tasty) and the view from the floor where the breakfast is taking place, is breathtaking. The room was clean but small regarding the price of it. But in Rome you can not expect very good standards in hotels as in London par example.
In addition there are little buses outside of the hotel where they can take you to Vatican or to other places in Rome for 1-2 euros.

it was so difficult checking out hotels available, and trying to pick a good one... however, we scored well with this one.
The room was very comfortable, had everything you needed for a short break.
breakfasts were good, staff were friendly and helpful, and location was fantastic.
views were amazing- could see the spanish steps, the vatican from our balcony. Awesome.

would recommend this to a friend, and would return to this hotel for a future break.

Rome is such a beautiful city- we were only there for 3 nights- not long enough, but we managed to cram alot in. Wear comfy shoes- thats a must!

Rome is expensive- and we did get ripped off a tad here and there- which was to be expected so no real surprise. however we did find a lovely wee italian deli, and got two bottles of vino- for 5 euros, and they were lovely- no worse than wine we paid 24 euros in restaurants!!

We stayed at the Eliseo for a week in a lovely 5th floor room with a balcony. The room was large by European standards. The breakfast every morning was wonderful with a good selection of cheese, meat, breads, fruit, yougart, juice and coffee served in a lovely room full of windows with a view of the Borghese park and the Vatican. (If you are a coffee snob, you will find the coffee below your standards.) This hotel was less than half the price of staying near the Pantheon. It is a great value. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. The location is great. You are away from the hustle/bustle of Rome, across the street from a wonderful park and just a short walk to the Spanish Steps. There is a close subway stop and (don't miss this please!) a very convenient little electric bustop across the street from the hotel. This bus will ride you into the interior of Rome where all the tourist attractions are located - The Piazza Del Fiori, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain - and the electric bus runs later than the subway.
This is my 2nd stay here and I plan to go back again!

I stayed at this Hotel in June 2009 with my husband and daughter. We all described it as "Fawlty Towers". The location was convenient but that is the only good thing to be said. The decor is very very tired and the room looked, felt and smelt unclean. The sheets did not fit the bed. The first roll of toilet paper was not replaced in our four night stay until in desperation I used my Italian dictionary to write a note to the cleaning lady and left it in the bathroom. Showering was a two person effort as one person had to hold the shower whilst the other washed. At breakfast the coffee came from a machine and was the worst we had drunk in Italy.

Worst of all, I was attacked by BED BUGS and the resulting severe itchy rash and welts ALL OVER my body ruined my time in Rome as I felt seriously ill from the bites, welts, rash and side effects for the entire duration of our stay there including on the way home and afterwards. DO NOT STAY here.
