We stayed 3 nights at the Barocco - in the adjoining residence, not the main hotel. Delightful is an understatement. When we go back to Rome, we won't even bother to look for alternative accommodations. Barocco is the only place to consider. Rooms were superb and very well tended. Very nice breakfast in delightful surroundings. Exquisite furnishings, paintings and decor. Even daily flowers and fruit plates. Bathroom service twice daily. The details have all been thought of for the choosy and easily-disappointed traveler like myself. Very helpful staff - all of them. Superb location - moments from everything in the old City, as well as a few meters from the Metro, taxi rank, restaurants, convenience stores and so on and so on. If you can pay the asking price, you won't be disappointed.

We stayed at the Hotel Baracco (****), by Piazzia Barberini, during our trip to Rome - 5 days, 4 nights (during the Pope's funeral). Great staff, nice people! Offered great tips on sites to see, restaurants, etc. Have a wonderful jacquzi tub in rooms - which is wonderful after a day of site seeing. Located a few blocks from spanish steps and trevi fountain, and around the corner from Via Veneto avenue. Great location to all. Highly recommend to all. - SL

We stayed at the Barocco for Easter weekend and I really did not want to leave!! The positioning of the hotel is such that you are not more than 5 minutes walk to most sites. It is deceving from the outside but the service was outstanding from booking restaurants, transfers to airport and directions the hotel staff were impecable! The rooms were something else we had a classic double roome which consisted of a balcony over looking the fountain outside and a jacuzzi bath, mini bar and everything else you would expect. I will certainly be visiting again!!!!!!!

Thanks to Trip Advisor, we decided to stay at the Hotel Barocco for five nights in March. What a great decision! We stayed in #49 which was large enough for two adults and a child. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Balcony looking over Plaza Barbarini. A wall of windows were thick enough to keep out busy traffic noise. Great bathroom -- shower with multiple jets; jacuzzi. Good toiletries including toothbrushes and toothpaste. Robes for two of us. The buffet breakfast was bountiful and had a great variety of food -- scrambled eggs, Italian bacon, a variety of cold cuts and cheeses, cakes, croissants, yogurts, cereals and the best blood orange juice I've ever had. The staff was discreet and relatively helpful -- just don't rely on them for dinner recommendations -- they'll steer you to tourist traps.

Five minutes from Trevi (fast walk) and close to the Spanish Steps. Right on the Metro line. We'd definitely stay there again!
