“A wonderful hotel in a fabulous location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

We spent 7 days here while in Rome for a conference. We could not have asked for better accommodation. The location was perfect, the junior suite gave us plenty of room, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the complimentary breakfasts were delicious and the staff were lovely. Our only suggestions for improvement would be access to tea and coffee making facilities and improvement in the wi-fi facility. Thank you everyone at the Hotel Barocco for a great stay. If we come back to Rome, we will definitely stay at this Hotel.

We stayed in Barocco 4 nights. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and friendly.
We had breakfast included and the selection was really good.
The location is perfect, walking distance everywhere. Would stay again and recommend the hotel for sure.

I highly recommend the Barocco, quaint, friendly and very comfortable. Perfectly located within walking distance to great places to eat and shop. We stayed 4 nights prior to a cruise and it was the perfect place to stay.

Excellent staff and location. Stayed here for two nights after a trip to venice and prior to a transatlantic. Comfortable room with balcony on the piazza. We stayed in #49. This hotel retains all the charming and sometimes odd character of the original building. The staff make it a great place to stay.

Our experience with the staff, location, and overall services was excellent. Metro station was across the Piazza and hotel is within walking distance to Via Veneto and other restaurant areas. We would return and certainly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Barocco on Sunday night with my boyfriend and parents. We arrived at lunchtime and were told our rooms were ready 2 hours early. The check in progress was fairly quick and the receptionists were very helpful and full of information about where to go. The rooms were very well decorated, clean and tidy, we had a room with a 4 poster bed, the rooms aren't really big but there is plenty of room required. The bed was very comfy. The rooms were also really quiet, we were next to a road but with the windows shut we could not hear a thing. The only down side about the whole stay was that there was no air con - apparently it is a central system and other guests had been complaining it was too cold so they had switched it off, i didn't mind as i hate been cold but my boyfriend hates been too hot. The only other downside is that we both chose to have showers in the morning, mine was hot to start with and then ran cold and my boyfriend had no hot water at all, little bit disappointing when you are paying high prices per night but really these are the only 2 drawbacks. The breakfast at the hotel was nice and the hotel is in a perfect location and is in easy reach of all the sights. I would recommend a visit. .

Room Tip: We went for a superior double room which was a little bit more expensive but was lovely.

The Hotel Barocco is a few steps from Piazza Barberini, tucked on a small side street, adding to its charm. It is within easy walking distance of just about everything--Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Via Veneto, Colosseum, Forum, National Museum to name a few. The Vatican was a ten minute cab ride (there is a cab stand on the Piazza Barberini, so easy to get cab at any time). Our room was very pleasant; bed was comfortable; bathroom was spacious. Everything spotless. Breakfast was fantastic. (It was so generous, we did not need lunch, though our days were packed with activity). We advised the hotel beforehand of a dietary restriction (no gluten) and staff was terrific and incredibly accommodating, providing alternate delicious options. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, researching and making reservations at outstanding restaurants/trattorias offering gluten-free options for dinner, and also arranging a knowledgeable tour guide (with an advanced degree) for one morning (we paid separately for this) . We had tea in the dining room in the late afternoon, which was delightful, and the bar was terrific for a glass of wine or after-dinner drink in the evening. I cannot say enough about the staff--each and every one was attentive, friendly and professional. I will never forget our stay in Rome and look forward to returning!
