“Great Stay, great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

We had a great stay in this Hotel. The location was perfect. We walked to every site in Rome. The Room we has was big and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The only issue we had with this Hotel was the noise being made early in the Morning by the Maids. We stayed on the 2nd floor and at 6-7 am everyday we would just hear a door opening and closing very loudly. Not sure what was going on in the hallway.

Dear Client,
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel.
We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed your spacious and comfortable room and our location. We are sorry to hear however, that the noise by the maids interfered with your sleep. We truly appreciate your feedback and we are looking into ways to address this issue.
We hope you will consider staying with us again the next time you’re in Rome.
Best regards

It is nice hotel near Via Veneto with cozy (but VERY small) rooms. It was close to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini, Villa Borghese and another sights. Also metro is near the hotel. Breakfast is quite poor, but enough for starting the day... And also

Dear Customer,
we are very happy that your stay with us has been fine, we appreciate your comments and we will try to do better for our customers. Our hotel has rooms of average size for the city center, but we also have rooms " Superior" quite larger than the " Classic"; next time you visit us you could try to book a " Superior" one and you will have more living space for you!
Thank you again for your nice comment and see you next time.

We have just come back from 3 nights in Hotel Caprice where we had a good time. The hotel is in a central but quiet location. Staff are friendly and helpful, speak good English and French. They are also sympathetic if you try to use a bit of Italian ! Rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast is fine.
If you have problems climbing stairs ,bear in mind there are a few steps to get to the lift.
Make sure you ask reception to call for a white taxi for the Fiumicino airport as the official fare Is 40 euros for up to 4 passengers and their luggage (whereas the hotel charges 60 euros).

Room Tip: Next time would probably ask for a room with a wet shower as the bath was awkward to get into.

Dear Customer,
First we wish to thank you for your positive review about our Hotel and the breakfast service , also thank you from all the staff, we appreciate very much your good impressions. Our tranfer service for four persons is done, with luxury mini-van and not with a regular car like the taxi, and you well undertand that the price is a bit higher.
Hoping to have you as our guest again thank you again!

We went to Rome as a couple for my 50th and stayed at the Caprice, It is a small, clean functional hotel in a great location. The staff were helpful and the rooms modern but as expected small with a king size bed and a great power shower which was useful after long days walking. We used the mini bar in the room which was reasonably priced.3.00e for beer or wine etc. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It was close to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain as well as the Metro. Yes there is a lapdance club next door but it caused no problems or noise. During our stay Wednesday to Sunday we saw no unsavoury characters and I would return again. The breakfast was the usual contentinal.I felt safe in this area and would recommend it to friends and family. Only negative was that we had a late departure and had to leave our cases in the reception and could have been doing with a shower or room to change clothes for our journey home. This may have been provided but it was our fault we didn't ask.

wonderful hotel. There is only one minus: doors are too slim. As a result - you hear everything in the hall.

Dear Customer,
We are very happy for your opinion about our Hotel, it means that our efforts are rewarded by the results obtained. Sorry for the noise, may be some noisy neighbor on your same floor, should not depend by the room doors because they are heavy enough.
Thank you very much and come back again to the Hotel Caprice!

Small, clean, hotel. Newly renovated rooms. Very nice location. Less then 10 min walk to subway station. We walked to the Trevi Fountain everyday. We took a mini van shuttle from the airport straight to our hotel for 16 euros each. We also called them to pick us up after our trip. I wouldnt recommend taking the public transit with suitcases. The bellman that showed us to our room was very very nice. Hit or miss with the service we recieved from the front desk - didnt bother us though....we are used to the European way. Limited clothes space - we didnt need too much either (was only there for 6 days). The bathroom was adequate, it was kind if dim though - but it served its purpose, it was small but clean. I like that it had a blow dryer. Plenty of clean towels. I put my make up on in the natural sunlight in the long mirror in front of the bed. The beds were nice, large and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and basic. I only wished I could have taken my morning coffee in a to go cup. Maybe a travel mug or paper cups next time. In Rome, when an espresso or a latte is ordered "to-go" they put it in a plastic cup!! My hands were on fire. Also, they dont give out lids. I wouldnt worry about the strip club next door. You cant hear anything. There was nothing shady about it either. I would absolutly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Its clean, in the city and the rooms are nicely decorated. Best of all we got a great price - $125 CAD a night! Its Rome so......accept, appreciate and absorb this ancient city!!! PS. I also recommend the guided tours in front of the Colosseum. If you like your guide ask them about the other tours they do. We did the Vatican through the same group. Well worth it.

Hptel is very close to Spanish stairs and Fontana de Trevi. Realy walking distance to almost everywhere in Rome. We stayed with child, and it is also good location as Villa Borgesse is nearby to walk there and let child run and jump :-). This is not possible in crowded areas of tourist districts in Rome...
Breakfast is quite poor, but enough for moring: bread, ham, cheese, yogurts, crouasans and some choice of sweets. Corn flakes with milk is available also. Enough for starting the day...
Rooms are small but cozy, modern design. One thing was a bit annoying: fan in bathroom is quite noizy, but luckily working only when the light in bathroom is on.
Prices are nice, 80 Eur per night for a family. Personel is friendly. English skills are not perfect, but enough.
