My husband, daughter 16-years old -and myself spent 4 days at Marcella Royal Hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly the barman, Mr Salvatore, at the roof terrace, who also provided us with an address of a nice restaurant near to the hotel.
The roof terrace offers a wonderful view on the city and smoking is allowed.
Spacious (triple) room-2 balconies- nice complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit and bread, cereals, ham and eggs, cheese, salami, donuts, and other different kind of pastry and cakes. The well known city attractions such as Trevi, Colloseum, Piazza Navona etc, can easily be reached within a 15-30 minutes walk. A taxi to/from Fiumicino costs EUR 40-50 whilst a private car arranged by the hotel is between 55-65 EUR.

Our recent stay at the Marcella Royal Hotel in Rome was wonderful,our room was nice,The service was excellent.The front desk staff was great,very helpful with all their suggestions( they spoke english which was very helpful to us)
the rooftop garden was beautiful,They served a very nice buffet beakfast in the morning and served a light menu at night,prices are high on drinks and menu, But we found that quite a bit in Rome.One of the gems at the Marcella Royal is the bartender Salvatore at the rooftop bar,he is terrific we had the best time talking with him ,he was so very nice he gave us quite a few suggestion of things to do.,He is a very nice gentleman.The hotel is on a quiet side street,about a 15 min walk to train station .Overall we had a wonderful time at the Marcella Royal Hotel, and we would stay there again if we return to Rome.

Marcella Royal was our final destination after our 2 week Honeymoon in Italy. The hotel is in a nice location. Very quiet area compared to the heart of Rome with all the main attractions. We were very disappointed with our hotel room because it was right behind the elevator so all we kept hearing was how it went up and down. However, they were very accomodating when we asked to be switched to another room.....a room that did not accomodate us and our luggage. It was very small...but it did the trick and was quiet. We had breakfast every day at the hotel and we were not happy with it and opted to have breakfast outside the hotel. It does the trick for an overnight stay. You don't really spend that much time in the room in Rome....you're out and about sight seeing.

We just returned from a short ( 3 day ) stay at the Marcella Royal . Very nice hotel , the room was quiet and comfortable , breakfast was very good , and the dining patio was very beautiful .
Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful . We found the walk back to the hotel from many of the sights in the heart of Rome was a bit tiring after a long day of sightseeing . I would go back there in a minute.
