I have just returned from a beautiful stay in Rome, the hotel is ideally situated for a sight seeing vacation with in walking distance of all main attractions 20 minutes from the trevi fountain about 40 minutes from the Colosseum all easily accessible from this hotel,the hotel itself is a classic italian vintage style hotel,the breakfast was a buffet style which was o the 7th floor of the hotel which over looked the whole city of Rome, the roof top terrace was beautiful and a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine after a long day sight seeing,the only down part to this was drinks were ridiculously expensive a gin and tonic costing £14 sterling, staff were extremely helpful and very friendly I would return to this hotel if i was to return to Rome and would recommend it fully to anyone wanting to visit Rome.

Rome is a very expensive city and you get what you pay for. I stayed at this hotel with 3 girlfriends for a sightseeing trip (4 days). For the price, the service was fantastic and the roof top terrace was worth its weight in gold. You could take breakfast, lunch or dinner on the roof top or indeed just relax there and enjoy a drink after a busy day. The bartender, Salvatore, was very amusing and nothing was too much trouble for him. Equally, the front desk guys were so helpful. They sent us to some lovely restaurants, of varying prices both local to the hotel and in the city centre, but all were of a great standard. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing base, in walking distance of most attractions, with great service.

From the inside this is a nice and friendly hotel. It is also quite central without being in the thick of the tourist action or too near the station. The staff are nice--they allowed me a late checkout at 5pm without any fuss--and the hotel itself is clean. But the views are well, small street urban, so you are pretty much looking into others' windows or balconies. Some rooms are small--no bigger than a King-sized bed and open into a narrow open courtyard. So if you really want to enjoy your stay here, rather than looking for a crash-pad for a few nights as I was, it is important you get a good room.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in October 2008. The hotel is situated fairly close (short taxi ride) from Termini station which is the main station in Rome. Would have been a trouble free arrival if we hadn't been ripped off by the taxi driver. 40euro for a 5 minute journey. Be careful of this and arrange a fee up front or make sure it is on the meter.

On arrival, the hotel was lovely, the staff were helpful and showed us to our room. As expected, the room was small (you are in Rome remember), although it was nicely decorated and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was in keeping although a slighty 80's shower curtain brought it down a little. Once in bed there was an evident droning buzz as I remember that would start and stop every couple of minutes. Very annoying but we put up with this.

The location is OK. It is quiet on an evening but quite a walk to the main attractions. I'd say about 20 minutes at a leisurely pace. Maybe too much for some. It suited us as the quietness on an evening made up for it.

The hotel has a roof bar which is excellent on a nice evening. Very impressive. We were going to eat in the piano bar on our last night but we were the only people in the whole place which put us off a little to say the leaset so it was just a drink and then out.

The breakfast is served in the piano bar. The breakfast was acceptable but I wasn't blown away by it.

Still, I would recommend the hotel, providing you don't mind a walk into the main area of Rome.
