We stayed 5 nights 4 days at this hotel.. if you plan to go on summer time, wont recommend this hotel at all .
Air conditioning unit is so noisy , you feel like plane is taking off every second ..I told to reception, they said will look at it but nothing had been repaired during our stay. We had to open the window to get cool air and my husband end up catching cold .

Also bathroom didint have ventilator or window .. it was very humid , i am assuming due to humid conditions , there were ants on the floor .. later i found some in my bed .
I also informed to reception desk , they smiled .. i said " so you know you have this problem " they said ants may come from windows.. I was at 6th . I asked them to use some sort of threatment to get rid of at least during our stay .. Again, they promised to look into it , but didint see any improvement.
I had 3 big itchy red spots on my leg , i am not sure bcs of ants or mosquitos ..
Bath tub was jacuzi but i would suprise if anyone can use it seeing the mold inside the tub . There were some leak to floor everytime we took showers , cleaning personel should have seen it if they clean the bathrooms everyday .
Reception desk people were friendly and nice.
Locationwise is very good , can walk to everywhere .. within 15 - 20 mins. distance..
Will we stay again ? Dont think so.

This hotel meet all our expectations. We saw it the last time we were in Rome and my wife fell in love with it.

We had a corner room with lovely views. It had clearly been completely redecorated recently and was in mint condition. The only negative was a noisy air conditioning unit. As it was going to be a major job to fix it the hotel offerred to move us to another room but we elected to stay put and sleep with the window open. Not too much noise at this tiome of year. The room was large and spacous.

The breakfast was excellent in quality and quantity, Staff were attentive at all times. OK it is not your typical English or USA breakfast but certainly exceeds Europens standards.

The front staff were an absolute delight. They were polite and helpful at all times.

This hotel is an old but graciuos one and we would certainly be staying here again ast is in such a good location, away from the tourists.

  • Liked — Great location and service.
  • Disliked — Sometimes did not make up room until late in the day.

We stayed here for 4 nights and I expected more from such an expensive hotel. The breakfast had runny scrambled eggs, no sliced meat, cereal, yogart, and something close to turkey bacon that was weird. The room was very warm and we had to sleep with the window and patio door open which explained why the housekeepers left us earplugs because the NOISE from outside was LOUD. Why does a former palace that charges 500e (as noted on the back door) not have air conditioning or even a fan to circulate air in the room?? The front staff was very helpful however and the bathroom was large and clean.

  • Liked — THE HUGH BATHROOM AND SHOWER
  • Disliked — ROOM TOO HOT- OUTSIDE NOISE

My wife and I went to Rome to see Scotland v Italy at rugby. We booked the hotel direct on the internet well in advance and got a 15% discount. We had a deluxe twin room which cost us 998 euros for five nights B&B. The buffet breakfast was excellent, there were always plenty of staff about to get you extra tea/coffee. This hotel is a top quality place situated on the Via Veneto, a famous and central area in Rome. Sheets and towels were changed daily the hotel was spotless and the marble staircase and floors were special.
All of the staff that we met were excellent. We did not have a drink in the Piano bar nor did we use the restaurant as we preferred to go out. When I return to visit Rome, which I will very soon, I will stay here again if the rates are similar.
Only 2 gripes rooms on the front of the hotel get a lot of traffic noise and the TV set up is not free, we never watched it anyway.
In summery a lovely central place to stay, good value and a lovely building with quality staff.
