After I booked the hotel I read the comments here and got a little scared, I saw a lot of comments stating very bad service from the staff, I usually don't write reviews but I had such a good experience I thought I must balance the reviews a little :)
I went with my sister for four nights, from 5.2 to 9.2, when we reached the entrance of the hotel we were greeted by the bellboy(I think he was the bellboy) and our bags were taken from us, after 5 minutes in the reception we received our key and a map of the city and were taken to our room, in the room the bellboy showed us our location on the map and places we should see in Rome (I never got this kind of service in another country).
The room was OK, nothing special, just what I expected, nice bathroom, the street wasn't noisy and if there was some noises closing the window fixed it immediately, we slept with the window open and had no problems.
the breakfast was good (scrambled eggs, bacon, small whiners and more).
I want to elaborate a little about the staff, after the first day we did saw that they were less welcoming, they gave you the feeling they don't really want to help BUT whenever we needed something they helped (explanation about the buses, wi-fi access, etc...) AND I got this feeling from a lot of service-givers (restaurants, kiosks, people in the street and even Information in the airport ) in Rome (maybe this is common in Rome....)
the point is that if you needed helped you got it.
and the last thing is... location, location, location :)
in 4 days we used the bus only from and to the airport, the rest of the time we walked, 1 minute to Fontana Di Trevi, 7 minutes to Pantheon, 30 minutes to the Vatican, well you get the point :)
