Having read other reviews along the same lines, let me reiterate that the best thing about this hotel is the location. Uncomfortable beds, rude staff, badly cooked breakfast. The whole experience was a struggle. I was a solo traveller and the chill at the Reception when coming back to the hotel each time was noticeable. The impression I got from the staff is that they really don't care - the only person who was in any way pleasant was the "bell-boy" but he expected to be highly rewarded! I would suggest that you go somewhere else

This hotel is perfectly located near the fountain di Trevi (approximately 50m). But you should be ready to see a lot of tourists going to fountain. Don't worry about noises from the street. You'll hear nothing if window is closed.
The hotel inside is quite cosy. It has 3 floors and breakfast room on the 0 floor. Breakfast was normal, without any luxury, but enough to feeling full. All dishes had good quality.
Room is really small, but we came back to hotel only at night and it wasn't a problem. Only one negative information about room: one of the wall was so dirty!!!
I'd recommended this hotel for tourists who aren't going to spend a lot of time in it.
And my advice for all Rome's visitors is take the most comfortable boots you have.

No doubt - the location is great. But there are some nusty details one should take in account before choosing this hotel:
1. The double bed is actually two single beds pushed together.
2. Brekfast contains no vegetables (at least on March), and overall is rather restricted to basics.
3. A dining room is small, so if you come at about 9 - you should wait or sit outside it on unserved tables.
4. The Hotel's web list of services mentions twice that in standart room one may get free WiFi, however in fact wireless costs you 3 EUR per hour.
5. The News Café is not impressive at all.

Accept all this we had no battaries in a TV remote control and a safe was locked.
If you do not care all mentioned above - the rest is perfect.

After I booked the hotel I read the comments here and got a little scared, I saw a lot of comments stating very bad service from the staff, I usually don't write reviews but I had such a good experience I thought I must balance the reviews a little :)

I went with my sister for four nights, from 5.2 to 9.2, when we reached the entrance of the hotel we were greeted by the bellboy(I think he was the bellboy) and our bags were taken from us, after 5 minutes in the reception we received our key and a map of the city and were taken to our room, in the room the bellboy showed us our location on the map and places we should see in Rome (I never got this kind of service in another country).

The room was OK, nothing special, just what I expected, nice bathroom, the street wasn't noisy and if there was some noises closing the window fixed it immediately, we slept with the window open and had no problems.

the breakfast was good (scrambled eggs, bacon, small whiners and more).

I want to elaborate a little about the staff, after the first day we did saw that they were less welcoming, they gave you the feeling they don't really want to help BUT whenever we needed something they helped (explanation about the buses, wi-fi access, etc...) AND I got this feeling from a lot of service-givers (restaurants, kiosks, people in the street and even Information in the airport ) in Rome (maybe this is common in Rome....)
the point is that if you needed helped you got it.

and the last thing is... location, location, location :)
in 4 days we used the bus only from and to the airport, the rest of the time we walked, 1 minute to Fontana Di Trevi, 7 minutes to Pantheon, 30 minutes to the Vatican, well you get the point :)

  • Liked — the location and breakfast
  • Disliked — wi-fi needed to be renewed every two hours and maybe the staff should smile a little more

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. All reception staff were extremely rude and arrogant. We were presented with a room that was not ready and the replacement room we were eventually given had remnants of the previous guest in the bathroom....will not go into detail! Daily room cleaning was poor. I did not appreciate having my toiletry bag left in the bidet. The travel brochure we based our choice on had lovely rooms pictured but unfortunately we were given one of the unrenovated rooms. Trying to discuss this with staff at reception was impossible as we were arrogantly dismissed. This was the worst hotel we stayed at during our European holiday. I strongly suggest you find another hotel.
