Unbelievable experiance. First class all the way! A bit pricey but well worth it. Its located at the top of the Spanish Steps and a short walk away from some of the best shopping in the world! Will definitley return to this hotel in the future!

I have been putting this review off because I have so much to say about how wonderful the InterContinental de la Ville was for me and my family. Lets starts with the location. The De La Ville is at the top of the Spanish Steps. It is in the heart of the city and staying here will make your life so much easier in Rome. Via Condotti with the world reknown shopping is a minute away, you can walk to Trevi Fountain or dine at any number of great restaurants that are yours for the choosing. And if you don not feel like going out to eat or miss the shops the hotel restaurant is delicious and the boutique downstairs has it all and does it all ... Femme Sistina the boutique has one-of-kind gifts, clothes, accessories and a signature perfume that I feel in love with immediately! (Love at first whiff) Plus Femme Sistina has a full service salon where you can wax, get a great blow dry or pedi-manicure that you didn´t have time to do before leaving on your vacation. The salon also boasts whos who clientele dating back from when Audry Hepburn to Nicole Kidman! They have stayed very current and are experts. But you will not find attitude here. The owner is so gracious and her staff lovely.

The service for InterContinental de la Ville is superior to other hotels. I have stayed at many 5 and 4 star hotels, but they cannot compete with InterContinental de la Ville´s service. My family felt like royalty. The staff knows your name and waiters remember the little things you like about your meals. No request or problem goes unsolved. The staff is always happy to direct you and fulfill every need. Warm and generous. Reception and staff are also fluent in multiple languages so there is never a difficulty there. Good sevice is often hard to find across the board at one hotel ... yet from the maid service to reception and I can easily say this is the best service I have had in a hotel in the US or abroad.

The rooms are very comfortable and have a first class decor and style. The bed and sheets are extremely comfortable and luxurious which after a long day of sight seeing and walking on cobblestoned Roman streets is a welcomed relief! Spacious and quiet. I love the window blinds the electronically operate on the exterior of your window being certain to block out any unwanted light in the morning. The Italian decor and furniture is rich too, but muted and practical too to make your stay relaxing.

One of the highlights is the fantastically delicious brunch they have available every morning. The selection is very diverse, delicious and provides abundant health conscious options. Numerous fruits, egg prepartion options, breads, cereals, juices, and beverages (lattes prepared to order -- I had my decaf latte witrh no problem) cakes, crepes, meats, cheese, even champagne! And many healty substitues such as rice milk ... the only one I have found offered at breakfast and I have been to three European countries this summer. My list of the men simple does not do it justice.

The common areas of the hotel, lobby, dining room, sitting areas, business center and rooftop longe with an incredible view of the city are all gorgeous and comfortable. A combination that had me looking forward to returning back to our hotel each night.

As for the cost. Your euros stretch very far for the accomodations themselves, unbeatable location, they-thought-of-everything-amenities and excellent service. I will not be staying anywhere else in Rome ... ever!

We booked this hotel through price line. We got a decent value. The service was spotty. The doorman at our arrival could not have been more helpful (we drove in from Tuscany). The first concierge was helpful, but there were other concierges that were downright crabby and not helpful. We did tip them several times for their services, but it didn't seem to matter. Again, some were very nice and helpful and others not. It's kind of a management issue they should be aware of. The hotel is in a superior location at the top of the Spanish steps (although at times, like the end of the day, I wish it were at the BOTTOM of the 132 steps! :) ). Our rooms were comfortable, but not large. The upkeep of the hotel ws a little below our standards (the paint was peeling in our bathroom, the shower head/handle didn't match the "holder" and it actually fell off and bopped me in the head (and they are heavy!). The soap was about the smallest bar soap I've seen in a hotel just an example of kind of scant ammenities). Somebody in the elevator actually was complaining to his wife that the ammenities were really poor). No breakfast included and the restaurant we found to be expensive even by hotel standards. I was neutral on the hotel until the doorman yelled at our teenage daughter about moving our car while we were checking out. He was downright rude. So I'd suggest looking elswhere. There was enough wrong here that you could probably find a better value elswhere.

First off, this hotel is absolutely beautiful and located near the Spanish Steps. For those of us Americans who speak only English, all of the employees speak wonderful English and that makes it easy to have no language barriers.
We stayed at this hotel before and after our cruise around Italy for our Honeymoon. The first stay we had issues getting our Itinerary for the cruise and the Duty Manager Giacomo saw our distress and helped us get access to what we needed within minutes. It was wonderful which gave us time to explore before we had to leave the following day.
First let me say that Giacomo Pica (Duty Manager) is one of the most amazing men I have ever met. During our second stay in Rome after our cruise my husband got food poisoning. When my husband’s illness was getting worse Giacomo came to our room to check on my husband. They provided us with a thermometer to check his temperature. Giacomo suggested a doctor to come and he found us an English speaking doctor to come to the room and check out my husband. As well as sent out to get us the prescriptions that we needed and brought them to our room. Giacomo made sure to check on us before he left for the evening as well as the staff would call up to make sure my husband was doing all right.
Giacomo also sent us a gift to our room to make us as comfortable as we could possibly be in the situation that we were in. Also the concierges were amazing anything that we needed they got for us. Also the concierges checked on us to make sure my husband’s health was okay.
There are so many amazing, wonderful people who work at this hotel. Not only is it hotel beautiful and the food delicious but you cannot get any better customer service anywhere. Absolutely Amazing!!! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the employees. If you are looking for a place to stay make this hotel your choice.

Everything about this hotel is top notch. Upon arrival we received a room on the 6th floor which was a little small bit very pretty. This floor is the one you want to be on. There is an amazing terrace overlooking rome that you can have some drinks and just look at the view! My husband enjpoyed the terrace all alone in the monings doing some early morning work on his laptop which he loved. The location is amazing right by the spanish steps cant get any better. The hotel staff was fantastic, always recommended a great restaurant and always ready to help.
