Stayed at the hotel during the end of October, for a city break from the Saturday to the Tuesday. The hotel was suggested by colleagues and we went for the superior room. The room was very well appointed and clean, as was the bathroom, with a terrace outside. However, the room was small and just fitted in a double bed.
The staff were very helpful and recommended some great places to eat in the evening. The breakfast could be improved, accounting fro the price, £279/night, to include fresh "fresh fruit" and juice rather that concentrate. The breakfast generally was a little basic.
The best thing about the hotel was its location, it is central for every thing; we even walked to the Vatican City and the Coliseum. The steps and fountain were only 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
We had a great few days in Rome and covered most of the main sites, the Coliseum area is just like a film set and the area and buildings are really impressive.
The people in Rome were excellent and really helpful, but be careful for the "rip off" as some will try it on!
The taxi from the airport to the centre of town was 60 Euro, and the same for the return.
Over all, we had a great break, the hotel was comfortable and really well located, but if we go again I think I would look for something else. This is solely down to the price and I feel you could get better value if you look, and still have the location.
Enjoy Rome it was a great place for a City break and the weather was warm enough to be in shorts and “T” shirt. The wife also enjoyed all the designer shops that are around the steps and the hotel!!!
