This hotel is outstanding. Whenever we mentioned where we were staying in Rome to the locals (ok mainly taxi drivers) they all raised an eye brow and said that it was a very nice hotel - they werent wrong!
The junior suite which we had booked was beautiful - ornately decorated with fine furbishments - a huge double king bed and a lovely lounge area and balcony with a view of the vattican.
The best thing about this hotel (apart from the olympic size pool) was the food. The food is absoutely divine and the service was equal to match it. Everyone made a special effort to make us feel very welcome and the restaurant service was mega effecient. I would barely have time to sip my water and put the glass down on the table before I found a waitor topping it up - we felt like royalty.
Being on half board - meant we could treat ourselves from the luxurious menu and the extensive selection enabled us to try new and exciting treats each night. We dined most nights at 7pm when the restaurant opened and so we received very good service as there were very few guests eating when we did, but as the restaurant filled up the water topper-upperer took a few extra seconds to reach our table.
The breakfast buffet choice was great. Ok so you wont get your british fried breakfast here, but you wont be disappointed by the wide selection of cereals, meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurts etc.
The only negative comment, is that the hotel is quite a way out of the city centre so if you are there for the city tourism you will need to get a taxi everywhere as its too far to walk - especially during hot weather.
