Stayed 4 nights from 1st-5th October, paid only 3, as the hotel had a 4 nights for the price of 3 offer. We had a delux room on 5th floor with view over Borghese Park. The view was splendid and the room clean though a little worn out. When arrived I asked to change the first room given, as it was much smaller than the rest of rooms (visible on the hotel map) and the recetionist (in very italian manner) said Oh, it's late now, you can come tomorrow. After me yelling for about next 15 min they eventually changed it and the rest of stay was just fine.Breakfast was decent and hotels staff friendly and helpful.

This is a first class operation from check in to check out. The staff is friendly, attentive and professional.
The Deluxe Suite is well worth the rate, plenty of room to spread out and relax. Very well finished with incredible views. I never thought I relax in a bath and look out the window at the Vatican!
Everything is easily accessible from their location. I recommend a walk through the The Piazza del Popolo on the way to the Castel Sant'Angelo. The view is amazing from the top.

We were so looking forward to our stay here-after a very stressful year we were finally going to get a little time a way to go to a friends wedding-we wanted to pamper ourselves with a little luxury and spa treatments and this sounded like it would fit the bill...Absolutely wrong!! First of all, the SPA-is not opened yet, not that you would know that from their website-oh but they do have a gymnasium....so not what we were looking for-beyond that the room (we had a junior suite) was lovely but not like an American junior suite in terms of size. The location is really too far from all the main attractions in Rome which forces you into a taxi situation-this can get a little pricey. As far as the service at the hotel...with the exception of Sergio, who went out of his way to offer services. there is nothing 5 star about it. The breakfast buffet was OK, in general the staff was at worst rude and at best non friendly. Having stayed at 5 star hotels in the US this was not even close-most make it a point to know your name and room number-on most occasions when we came back to the hotel we were barely acknowledged. The icing on the cake was when we were leaving my friend had gone to the desk to say we would be checking out-just had to pick up our luggage (no offer to send someone up to help us) and asked if she needed to do anything about the bill-they told us what was on it and said no problem. As we are standing outside getting our luggage into the taxi one of the workers comes running out yelling that we have not paid our bill and can not leave yet...we were mortified-imagine all the people looking at you as if you are trying to skip on a bill, which by the way the balance was 94 Euro....that was it-we could not get out fast enough....Very disappointing overall-but beyond that the rest of our trip was wonderful!! If you are going really check where you are staying and its exact location compared to what you want to see....

I just spent six nights at this beautiful hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly -- always ready with a restaurant recommendation, reservations, umbrella, taxi, etc. Our room overlooked the Borghese Gardens next door as well as a great view of the Vatican in the distance. Breakfast buffet was good if not great. Location is a matter of taste -- on the one hand it is a very peaceful respite in hectic Rome but on the other, it is not the place to stay if you want to be in the center of things. It was about a 30 minute walk to the city center or a taxi ride of about $15 US dollars. There seems to be a good bus system but the day I tried it, the bus never came. (Make reservations in advance for the Borghese Gallery (Museum) near the hotel. I didn't and wasn't able to get in.)

This hotel is outstanding. Whenever we mentioned where we were staying in Rome to the locals (ok mainly taxi drivers) they all raised an eye brow and said that it was a very nice hotel - they werent wrong!
The junior suite which we had booked was beautiful - ornately decorated with fine furbishments - a huge double king bed and a lovely lounge area and balcony with a view of the vattican.
The best thing about this hotel (apart from the olympic size pool) was the food. The food is absoutely divine and the service was equal to match it. Everyone made a special effort to make us feel very welcome and the restaurant service was mega effecient. I would barely have time to sip my water and put the glass down on the table before I found a waitor topping it up - we felt like royalty.
Being on half board - meant we could treat ourselves from the luxurious menu and the extensive selection enabled us to try new and exciting treats each night. We dined most nights at 7pm when the restaurant opened and so we received very good service as there were very few guests eating when we did, but as the restaurant filled up the water topper-upperer took a few extra seconds to reach our table.
The breakfast buffet choice was great. Ok so you wont get your british fried breakfast here, but you wont be disappointed by the wide selection of cereals, meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurts etc.

The only negative comment, is that the hotel is quite a way out of the city centre so if you are there for the city tourism you will need to get a taxi everywhere as its too far to walk - especially during hot weather.
