We have just returned from the Grand Hotel Flora in Rome. The hotel is a little tired and some of the rooms are in need of a little updating. Our first room was supposed to be an execuitve room but was such a peculiar shape at the side of the hotel it might of well been a corrider. But have to say the staff pulled out all the stops when they saw how unhappy we were with our accomodation that they moved us to a Junior Suite overlooking the via Vinetto which I have to say was fantastic and really made our stay in Rome. The breakfast was not the best we had had in Europe but average for Italy. We had a meal one evening at the hotel and again everyone pulled out all the stops to make sure that it was everything we wanted it to be and we were not disappointed. The hotel deserves it's five star rating as the sheets were changed every night and the small touches you expect were present. All in all a wonderful stay and I would recommed the hotel as long as you have a suite!!!!

We stayed in the Grand Hotel Flora for our first three nights in Italy. It is located at the top of Via Veneto, an area made famous by the movie La Dolce Vita. It is right in front of Villa Borghese (a beautiful and relaxing park). It is a bit of a walk from many of the main tourist sites (Coloseum, Forum) - about 4 miles, but relatively close to the Spanish steps. The hotel itself was very nice, deserving of a 5-star rating. Room was decent sized. Restaurant was expensive but very good. There are plenty of places right around the hotel to eat. Try the Lotti cafe around the corner for a great, and very reasonably priced, breakfast or lunch. The staff at the Marriott were courteous, helpful, and spoke great English. Mossimo, the concierge, answered questions over email before the trip and was great in person as well. It was a great beg. to a great trip in Italy.

Ended our trip in Rome at the Marriott Grand Flora. Couldn't ask for a better location and the hotel was great. Service was about the best I've ever seen, from the doorman to the concierge and everyone else. We were upgraded to a junior suite so the room was exceptional. Nice to have full time internet access too. Highly recommended.

My husband and I and our two children (14 and 11) stayed at the Grand Flora for a week in August using Marriott Reward points. My husband and I had a beautiful one bedroom suite and the children had a room next door with two twin beds. Both roooms had balconies and faced the Via Veneto. It was a wonderful experience! We have travelled to various parts of the world and really appreciate 5 star service. The rooms are spacious, clean and very well appointed. Alot of attention to detail. We also saw rooms that did not face the Via Veneto and they were just as spacious and beautifully appointed. The rooms are very quiet and the windows have been sound proofed so there is not a problem with noise as is the case with many European hotels. The beds are extremely comfortable! The front desk staff speak very good english and are very polite and helpful. They cannot do enough for you. Marco, in particular, was amazing!!!! I believe he is the front desk manager. The location on the Via Veneto cannot be beat. It is a beautiful neighbourhood with many upscale shops and restaurants. We did not feel the food in the hotel restaurant was anything great - much better restaurants just outside the hotel. The only criticism we had was that the exercise room could have been bigger with more equipment - it was quite basic for a five star hotel but then again that has been our experience in Europe. Make sure to fill your water bottles in the gym before you leave the hotel each day as bottled water can be expensive. The water from all the fountains located throughout the city is safe for drinking. The only thing we hated about the hotel was leaving. We will definately be back and will stay at the Grand Flora. We checked out other 5 star properties but we loved being on the Via Veneto.

Stayed at the Mariott Grand Flora from May 4-9. Found the location wonderful, the service outstanding and the staff very helpful. Room had a great view of the Via Veneto, was spacious and very clean with houskeeping service twice a day. The only negative was the tour of Tivoli Gardens the concierge recommended. Were told it was three hours and could charge to our room. It was over seven hours and were taken by bus from the hotel to another bus station (where we had to pay in cash) than on the tour. Tour guide spoke four languages and we had to wait for her to "recite" in each language to other guests, hence the seven hours. Overall, we were very pleased with hotel and would again stay the next time in Rome.
