We spent 1 night at the Marriott using points and then moved onto another hotel for the remainder of our stay. I arrived ahead of my husband and checked in at the Marriott around 8:15am. The front office staff were fabulous - very warm and friendly (just what I needed after a 12 hour flight) and tried to get me straight into a room. The first available room was only a 45 min wait so I relaxed in the lobby and read a book. The girl who checked me in then found me to say the room was ready.....I originally thought I would be waiting till around midday to check in as the hotel was full but was relieved this was not the case. The room was spacious for a standard room and very clean. Although I requested a king size bed, I was informed they only had a queen which didn't bother me but was pleasantly surprised to find that the room did indeed contain a king! The bathroom was large with a separate shower to the bath and finished in marble. Concierge was great on all occasions I approached them and doormen would always acknowledge me as I walked by.
As mentioned in past reviews, breakfast is pricey (E24pp) but you have to expect to pay that in a good hotel. I used the hotel car from the airport which was a mercedes for E75 but I think that's a little steep (considering our next hotel - The Intercontinental - charged us E49 from the hotel to the airport).
IMO, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - the location is great right at the top of the Via Veneto so it's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro station and has some great cafe's and restaurants right out front.
