Stayed with two friends in March. Our rooms were standard and, although clean, a bit basic and in need of refurbishment. The rooftop breakfast room was very good and nice breakfast. We could see that the superior rooms on the higher floors were much nicer.

Having said that the location was great, the staff very helpful and we did not notice the noise too much.

A word of warning about Romne in general. It is not a safe city. My friend was robbed, the official taxi drivers will scam you out of your money and if you are using public transport make sure you validate your tickets otherwise you face an on the spot fine of 50euros

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor about this hotel, I was a little worried as they were very mixed. The only negative thing that is true is that the hotel is on a busy road so there is noise from passing traffic, but after a day sight seeing you will probably be so tired you won't notice it - we didn't. I had booked two rooms, both of which had been refurbished and were of a very high standard. The bedding and towels were immaculate as was the room and infact the whole hotel. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of items to suit every taste.

The hotel is situated just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain and is within walking distance of all of the major attractions.

I would have no double in highly recommending this hotel. If you have never been to Rome before you are in for a real treat as it is a truly fabulous place.

I was moved from sister hotel, hotel White because of refurbishments' which I initially wasnt too pleased about. But they gave us a superior room (which wasnt grand but nice enough) so I didnt mind too much when we arrived at Tritone.

Location is SUPERB. Opposite is a bus terminal & round the corner is a little local supermarket where bottles of water cost 33c (about 20p)!! The Trevi Fountain was 2 mins away and all the other sights within walking distance.

Staff were friendly, brekkie was lovely, room was cleaned everyday. Shower was great although the cublicle was tiny (if you're a large person it would be VERY hard to sqeeze into it).

I would recommnend this hotel if you didnt want anything too plush. The most important thing was that it was clean and the staff were nice.

Although it was too noisy at night because its on a main road so if you dont like being disturbed i wouldnt advise it!

I enjoyed my stay there for 4 nights, the hotel has a great location and staff are friendly; breakfast was excellent: variated and fresh and there was a lovely view of Rome while you're having breakfast.
Rooms are small and old, but confortable (overall the -mini-bathroom) but it was ok. I would recommend it.

My hysband and I stayed here for the 2nd week of our European honeymoon. We tried staying at the Grand Flora Rome Marriott, but couldn't use our points, so we found this hotel instead.

The good: The location is ideal and is centrally located, you can walk to almost everything. The room (on 5th floor) was clean, and very modern, with updated bathroom, funky music piped in, and a flat screen TV. Free breakfast on the top floor was very nice.

The bad: small room, and we would have hoped for a queen or king bed. Instead, we got 2 twin beds, which would separate during the night, and one of us would end up on the floor in-between the beds! The elevator was so tiny, one day my husband had a backpack on, he was unable to turn around while standing in the elevator! The pillows and bed(s) were VERY hard and my ears were numb when I woke in the morning, we both slept terribly.

We ended up staying there only 3 of the 6 nights we originally planned to stay. My husband insisted that we try again to get into the Marriott, and we were able to use points for the remaining nights. I felt terrible about leaving, as the staff was very friendly & accomodating, and you can tell that they care about and are proud of their little hotel, but I think we must just be a little sensitive when it comes to beds.
