We were allocated a very tiny double room that only had enough room for one person to walk around the bed. The size of the room compared to the price of the room per night was quite shocking. There was no seating in the room other than a stool tucked under a glass side/dressing table so all you could do was sit on the bed or one person could sit at the dressing table. The wardrobe had not been wiped out so some of our clothes came out covered in a white dust. Our bed was remotely controlled adjustable but although this raised the bed it immediately collapsed when you put your weight on it so that didn't work. The toilet seat was almost falling off and slipped every time you sat on it! The towels were worn out and thin and only two supplied. The air conditioning was off which meant our small room felt hot and stuffy. We asked reception if we could have the air conditioning on but apparently another guest had complained it was too cold and had asked for it to be turned off! there were some noisy extractor unit motors outside our window.

The hotel was advertised as having a bar and a wine/grill bar but the bar was never open even though we were told it opened at 7pm there was never a member of staff there to serve a drink and the bar lights were off, and the wine/grill bar was a separate entity in the building next door seeming to have nothing to do with the hotel other than give you 10% off your bill if you presented a coupon provided by the hotel which we were only given because we asked about the connection between the two. There was no room service. There was only one computer in reception which you could use for internet access at 3 euros per hour. Given the limited facilities we could not understand how this hotel had achieved its 4* rating.

On the plus side, the location was perfect, you felt right in the heart of it and yet we experienced no noise from the busy street outside. The decor was contemporary, the bed was comfortable and sheets were crisp and clean, the large screen tv in the room was excellent for catching up with a bit of world news.

Firstly the location was great!! Right near the Trevi Fountain and nice places to eat. We found our found to be pretty quiet considering its location, although the air con machines out side were a little nosy but after inspection we found that there were hundreds on every building. Breakfast was nice, simple but nice. THe staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms however were SO SMALL!!!! we could barely open the door without hitting the bed frame. Its such a shame about that! For the price we paid, I think the rooms should of been bigger. But the location was great. Beds were pretty comfy.

when arriving at Hotel White, my partner and i were told that they had no reference to our booking and that Fastbooking.com who we had booked through had never sent through our booking. they then said they had no room for us but toorrow night we could have an "executive Suite". The most worrying thing about this whole experience was that the hotel was not even suprised or apologetic!

The beginning was promising. The White hotel is centrally located and within a close walking distance to all major attractions in Rome. We arrived at 11:00AM and were given a room despite our early check-in. We were assigned to room #304, which turned out to be a tinny little box. After complaining at the front desk, we were reassigned to the junior suite, which resolved the size problem.

The room was OK, yet doesn’t live up to the standard of a four star hotel. The furniture and design is not really “modern” or “contemporary,” and certainly isn’t white (which kind of begs the question – why do they call this place the White Hotel?). The TV channels were barley viewable. The towels have seen better days (probably a decade ago). There is no iron in the entire hotel, which is simply unacceptable.

Although the hotel is located in the heart of a romantic city such as Rome attaching two twin beds and calling this a “double” doesn’t really qualify for a romantic getaway.

Breakfast was very nice and included everything we needed to get our day started.
