“Wonderful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Great rooms and public area. Well furnished, full of character and very clean.
The staff were fantastic.
The breakfast room is the perfect way to start the day.
I stayed for two nights with my 12 year old daughter and she loved both Rome & the hotel.

To be honest, we found it a bit difficult to locate the hotel as one has to walk till the end of the road from the right exit of the station. Other than that, the hotel stay was a sheer joy. The staff were very courteous and welcoming. The highlight of the hotel is the lift from 1900 :)

There are many restaurants around the hotel which give you lots of options. The Castro metro entry is just behind the hotel which connects to the main line and the city. A day pass is just worth every penny. The hotel breakfast had lots of choice, rooms were well decorated and the washroom was huge. The room even had a Phillips music system which was nice. Our room had an opening to the main road however, there were 3 layers of windows which insulated the noise from the room. To sum it up, the hotel deserves the rating it has, In fact, it should move even higher in the ranking.

We simply love this hotel. It is located close to the train station and metro - which means you can get anywhere in Rome or to the airport easily. The hotel staff are very helpful and the condition of the rooms are great. Our favorite part was coming back to the hotel after a long day walking around Rome - we went to the hotel bar and shared a bottle of wine for 7 euro (unbelievable deal) and partook of the free appetizers.

Lovely hotel with lots of character.Good sized room with spacious bathroom and bath essential after a day sightseeing!Reception staff very helpful and nothing too much trouble.Breakfast very good with plenty of choice.Bar very reasonably priced.Good selection of restaurants nearby we tried 5 and had good meals in all of them.Main station and metro nearby so made sightseeing easy.Metro cheap compared to London. One downside which was not the hotels fault our room overlooked an outside bar which stayed open late so we were disturbed by loud people. If we went again we would ask for a quiet room away from road.

Room Tip: Away from outside bar

The hotel was close to excellent. The only things that let it down were its poor internet service, which seems to be outsourced and the hotel itself is a bit out of the main central area. However, having said that, it is really close to a metro stop and a short 5-10 minute walk from Termini for other connections. The restaurants around there are a mixed bag, but 2 great ones stand out Agora and Meid in Nepols, check the location with the desk. Drinks were very cheap in the bar, an average 2.50 euros, most other places were double that. It is in a quiet area, so does get you away from the water, scarf and trinket sellers.

like all global hotel chains ,best western hotel canada was clean, properly maintained , quiet, with helpful front desk staff and good breakfast. our room was big as it was a corner room with comfortable bed. the wash room was extremely clean and well equipped . hotel is few minutes walk to central station. breakfast was plentiful with good and helpful staff. we stayed at this hotel in september and surprisingly rome at that time of the year was still hot. air-con was not working that well , we could have asked for another room but it was manageable. But during summer months one cannot stay with the same air-con....apart from this thing everything else about this hotel was fantastic. will definetly stay at this hotel again.

The Best Western Hotel Canada was an ideal place to stay. The service was top notch and we couldn't believe the extent to which the front desk staff helped us. For example, Arber, one of the exceptional staff, suggested we return our car to the nearby train station rather than taking it all the way back to the airport. He offered to call Hertz and clear the way for us, which would have been difficult for us with our non-existent Italian. In a matter of minutes, he saved us a few hours and made our day even better!

The front desk staff were as friendly and accommodating as we've encountered in any hotel anywhere in the world we've stayed. Whether we asked for directions, restaurant or shopping advice, they were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and seemed to really want to help us. They deserve accolades for how well they do their jobs.

We chose a deluxe room which was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the amenities excellent. The buffet breakfast was the best we've had anywhere in a "breakfast included" hotel.

All in all, top notch. The hotel is rated 3 stars but deserves 4.

Room Tip: To minimize street noise, request a room on a higher floor and facing the centre of the building. W...
