“Lovely hotel, near Roma Termini (Train Station)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We stayed here two weeks ago for four nights. The hotel is about three blocks from the train station. The room was comfortable and clean. The street can be noisy, but if the windows are shut, it was not bad. You might be able to request a room away from the street. If you want atmosphere outside your hotel door, this is probably not the hotel for you. But we toured all day and we enjoyed just being at the hotel in the evening. They had nice snacks and reasonable drinks for sale. The morning buffet was very nice. We took the fast train to Florence for the day and it was great to be so close to the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a metro stop close by and the hop-on hop-off bus stop.

This hotel was recommended to us by 3 different Canadian couples who had stayed here. The proximity to The Terminal was their main reason, but also because of the rooms and service. We were not disappointed. Our room and bathroom were very nice, clean, comfortable bed, perfect free WiFi, and decent buffet breakfast included.
Also, a nice Happy Hour with good appetizers and very nice bartenders.
Its a good 3 to 4 city blocks out the back door of the Terminal. We're young Seniors.
Cross Via Marsala and turn left, then right, straight down Via Vincenza. We got Metro Passes and went everywhere from there, even to the airport.
There is a good restaurant called Sapori de Casa a few blocks away. It's on Via le. de Universita. Not well labelled but worth it. Also a good one across the street, a block down.
Would definely stay here again.

The Center of Rome is about 4X4 Km' and the Canada Hotel is on the upper right corner.
The Hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is nice, polite and efficient. The breakfast is great (if you took one with the hotel room).
It is within a walking distance from all there is to see around the center of Rome (anyway you will walk all day long)
Since it was before a regular house I do think the rooms a not identical (as in a pre-designed hotel) so it is best to find out what kind of room you are booking (we stayed on the 5th floor and the room was great.
This is really a very nice hotel in reasonable price while staying in Rome

Room Tip: Rooms may vary one from another check it out before you order

I have recently returned from a 3 night stay in Rome having booked the hotel Canada as recommended by a friend. we were not disappointed. The service was excellent especially Massimo at breakfast and I m sorry I ve forgotten his name - the bar man!
We had a beautiful room on the 5th floor with a four poster bed which was a lovely surprise. The room and hotel were spotless and very welcoming.the breakfast wAs fantastic - lots of choice for a fussy eater like me! Cannot fault the hotel - the location was great very close to the Termini and metro.
The only downside - and these are very tiny niggles - the shower wasn't great not a lot of room in the tiny bath and the wifi doesnt work on the fifth floor but this would not stop me returning! Looking at booking a return trip as we speak :)

As a Canuck, when I heard there was a hotel Canada in Rome (and it got great reviews) I knew we had to stay there!! And we were not disappointed!

We had just got off a cruise and arrived at the hotel around 10 am in the morning and believe it or not, our room was ready a few minutes later and we were allowed to check in! Was very nice of them to allow that.

The room itself was top notch! Very nice furniture, crown molding, very artys ceiling, beautiful bathroom! We have stayed in more $$$ hotels and they were not as nice as this one.

Staff were friendly and professioanal.

Location: Short walk to Termini Station and even not that long of a walk from the Colosseum--which we did. Not sure how long it took as we stopped for coffee and took pictures, was a very nice walk, maybe 30-40 min walk.

The only small negative was the AC---It really was not that hot out, so it was fine, we would have just preferred the room to be a tad cooler. When we checked out at 0420 am, I believe the front desk guy stated they had not yet turned on the AC for the building as the temps were not hot enough yet. So I'm guessing when it does warm up, they turn on the AC.

We were very impressed, and we had a great stay! They even had 2 travel toothbrushes, nice soaps, shampoos, slippers. A great stay!

Room Tip: Ask for anon-smoking room

Very nice place to stay. Would stay again. Great location. Clean hotel with lovely rooms and friendly staff. Nice breakfast and ceoliac friendly as they supplied gluten free cakes and bread for us with no extra charge.

Stay dates May 8 – 11, 2013. This is an excellent Hotel about a 10-minute easy walk to Termini Train Station. There are lots of restaurants in the area. Front desk provided us with several very good recommendations for both lunch and dinner. Rooms are very clean, baths are spacious, and windows are soundproof. Breakfast is American /European varied enough to satisfy anyone. They have a happy hour in the evening around 5 PM. The lounge area is very nice and comfortable. It’s a good way to unwind before dinner. They provide munchies and the wine is very reasonable. A 250ml bottle runs about 4 euros. Front desk will call for a cab when you ask. It takes about 3 minutes and they are registered. You can get to most locations for about 12-15 euros. Distance and traffic will affect trip cost. We will definitely stay here again.
