When we arrived at this hotel we were told they did not have us booked in, we then showd him our booking reference but it was of no benefit at all. The staff was very unhelpful to us, we had to wait there for 5 hours until we were transferred. Eventually we left and went to another one of their Hotels, it was the most dirty and dangerous places i have ever been in. The shower was so small you could barely fit in it, the toilet seat was cracked, The AC didn't work, Our door didn't lock.
Transferred again the next day back to Fiamma, Maids came in once to clean room, I can honestly say i would never stay in any of their hotels again. Very badly run, very unhelpful and rude staff.
They do not have a bar in this Hotel either. We were told it was broke??

Took my husband to Rome for 5 days for his birthday as he had never been. The only thing in favour of the hotel is its location, which is near the main station, buses, metro etc. The surrounding area is perfectly safe. However. The room was not cleaned properly for the entire 5 days, there were electrical sockets hanging off the walls, the bathroom was dirty, the toilet started leaking half way through the trip and never stopped, the toilet paper was never replenished so we had to ration it, the television received one very crackly channel, the coffee at breakfast was foul and undrinkable, the bar was never open (and we really needed a drink), and the staff were largely indifferent to all this. The gang of young US students seemed to find it OK - perhaps you just have to be young.....?

We booked a double room over their official web site, we became a confirmation. When we came there in the evening, the employee in the reception was wery unkind and unprofessional. He just said: We are full, you must go to our another hotel 100m away.
Of course, it was not a 100m away, but 1km.... and this is not the way they shoud threat the guests. We booked hotel Fiamma because of the location, if we would like to go to the other hotels, we would reservate another hotel. I asked the employee, if I could speak with the manager, but he said, that this is the way they do all the time and when they are full, they send guests away to fill their other hotels, which are not so good situated. He said also, that that's my problem, if I don't want to go to the other hotel... and he was very unkind.

So we went to the hotel Siviglia. The air condition didn't work, the bath was small and dirty, it was full of hairs on the flour, they didn't clean the room and the bath at all. The room was in the ground flour, so we couldn't sleep because of the noise....

So, we will never go to Leonardi hotels again. This is not the way to threat the guests, the room in the other hotel Siviglia was dirty and they need to renovate this old and dirty hotel. For 150 euros per night you can find better hotels on better location.

The Hotel Fiamma is located just a 2 minute walk from Termini station. They will offer you a pickup for the airport for around 50 euros. Save your money. There is a bus to Termini station from the airport for only 7 euros. I had read about this place being in a bad neighborhood in other reviews. I really didn't think it was horrible. No one approached us and I never felt unsafe walking the streets. Staying here is also a great location for using the metro to get to the Vatican museums and all the other attraction due to both main Rome metro lines joining at Termini station.
The positives about the hotel were the location and the price. I only paid $130 a night. Not a bad price for being in one of the largest cities in the world. Breakfast was included. Not a bad breakfast either, no eggs or hot food but plenty of choices. The staff were okay as well. The front desk staff's English wasn't great but I can't fault them for that.
Some of the negatives. We asked for a double room and we got it. We got two single beds pushed together with double sheets fitted over them. It didn't help that both mattresses sunk deeply in the middle. I had to sleep on the peak of the two mattresses to get a comfortable nights sleep. I wouldn't say that the room was dirty, but it wasn't immaculate either. The furniture in the room was extremely dated. Not quaint antique dated, just they need to buy some new furniture dated.
All in all, I think I could probably find other hotels in Rome that would equal both price and quality. I'm not extremely opposed to staying here again, not hugely for it either.

I and my wife stayed three nights at Hotel Fiamma. The hotel is centrally located, 200m from the bad reputation Termini Station. We found the Station area safe (we used normal precautions; hidden wallet, tight grip on luggage). From Termini you can have a quick metro trip to Vatican City or Colosseo.

We got 85€ per night discount price and for that price the hotel was a good deal. It is three star hotel, clean heated rooms with well equipped bathroom, nice breakfast and friendly staff. Shame that there was only one english tv channel: CNN. Safety box cost 3 € per night.
