I stayed for one night in the Hotel Majestic in March. I got a special rate through the group I was booking with but the published rate is twice that amount. Yes: the hotel is on Via Veneto and Yes: it's one of the oldest and best know hotel in Rome but the for the price, I would have expected the service to be better.

I love this hotel ...I spent alovely week in alovely city with alovely husbend : )
to be direct and usefull ...it's agood choice in a good price to.
The location : in the center. .close to every where ..after all rome is a small city .
The hotel : old clasic style in anice way.
The room: small but really clean and has alot of mirrors to make it look bigger ! I liked it it's really cozy.
The bathroom: alot of mirrors ( which what women want ) ,clean and bright.
The breakfast : not bad ! the good piont that it has fresh Squeezed Orange Juice .
The stuff : very helpful , smily ,polite
....................................the whole Experience was great .

I was there with 9 family memebers and the hotel is described perfectly. An older hotel with "old" Hollywood charm and atmosphere.

The morning breakfast is wonderful in presentation and situation. Yes the rooms are a bit worn, but you are staying at a perfectly located hotel.

Also lots of famouse people watching in the Hotel. So sit back have a coffee or lemonchello and enjoy it! You are in Rome!

My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Majestic twice, there will be a third, fourth etc. This last experience in Sept. of 2008 was just as nice as the first. Believe it or not the staff remembered the two of us, a year after our first stay!! One of the front desk staff called me by name!! There was one thing that kind of made me feel uneasy...When one of the members of the staff needed to enter the room, during the day, they just put the key in and walked in. We were napping (jetlag) but it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. besides that, the staff was incredible. They were helpful with directions and other needs. They made us feel at home and spoke very good english. The rooms are large compared to most in Europe that we have visited. The beds are comfortable, as are the pillows. The photos (artwork) on the walls of some of the floors are interesting and kept us busy for hours. We ran into Paul Sorvino, an actor, he was also staying at the hotel he did not have any problems with photos. I understand quite a few celebritys stay at the Majestic. It is a perfect location for walking to most tourist sites, the spanish steps, the trevi fountain, piazza novana, the panthanon and the Vatican are all within walking distance. If you walk out the door and take a right then cross the street, there is a church...go into the church and pay (donate) to enter the basement. The most incredible site I have ever seen, art work on the walls and celings...Made with the bones of monks. Strange, but if you are into strange....You got it!
