Me and my mom decided to book a room in Hotel Doria because of it's location close to everything, reasonable price and the mostly positive reviews of it.

And we were not dissappointed, hotel Doria was absolutely perfect place to stay. It was close to almost everything and if you want to go further, the Termini station is just two blocks away which makes it also very easily accessible from Fiumicino airport.

The Hotel staff was great, friendly and helpfull and spoke good english. The rooms were very clean by any standard and were cleaned every day. In the room everything from shower to TV functioned perfectly and we had no problems with anything. The only downsides were the quite hard bed and noise from the street, though neither bothered us in the least.

The breakfast was also very tasty and diverse, there wasn't any fresh fruit or stuff like backon but almost everything else you could want.

Overall Hotel Doria made our holiday as perfect as it was. It was very homely and welcoming, it was great to have a "home" in Rome where we could return after a hard day of sightseeing.

I really enjoyed my time at this hotel. From the moment i walked in the staff at reception made me feel welcome. Which is something that is lacking in most hotels these days. The breakfast was huge and was served coffee by a lovely lady. Staff at reception were very helpful and made sure i had all the information i needed for a great stay in Roma. Rooms were very comfortable and warm. bathrooms are a little small, but thats the only complaint i had. Overall a very nice hotel. I will definitely return

Hotel Doria is a small but comfortable hotel. When you are only using it as a base, then it meets all your needs. The room was small, and the en suite even smaller! If you are a "big" person, you may have problems fitting into the shower!
The breakfast was basic but tasty and I thought the coffee was lovely!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the Hotel was about a 20 minute walk from the Colosseum.
If you want a basic but comfortable Hotel, then the Hotel Doria will suit you.

Having decided a spur of the moment trip to Rome I had to search very hard for something half decent for the money. I finally settled on the Doria due to its positive reviews on trip advisor and am very glad that I did. The hotel is close to Termini but outwith the seedy area and is in walking distance of everything. In fact when we arrived we decided to go and quickly see the Santa Maria Maggiore but somehow ended up at the Trevi fountain! At night just a quick stroll down Via Cavour and there are a number of nice restaurants to enjoy. Somehow we lucked into the best room in the hotel which appears to be not only the biggest but is also the only one with a balcony and a direct view of the church. Room was perfectly adequate - beds a bit hard but to be expected. Word of warning if your planning to go at height of summer we were in middle of September and lucky the weather wasn't roasting but the aircon was pitiful in 25 degrees so I hate to think what it would be like in 40! Strange thing that no one else seems to have mentioned were the towels. This is the first time I have had what can only be described as a bedsheet to dry myself with! Kinda wished Id known so I could have taken one with me! Of and dont even try to take the key with you when you go out or you will be in trouble!!! One of the things I chose the Doria for was its roof terrace and Im glad I did - very cute with a great view, nice food and the cappacino was lovely! All in all a great stay at Doria however when I go back I think I will book well in advance for something a little more comfy.
