This hotel is just amazing. Everyone from the bell man to the GM took a real interest in making our trip perfect. My wife and I were there for our 1st anniversary using our points for 2 nights before our trip to the Amalfi . I read some negative reports from people using points but my experience was spectacular. We were upgraded, treated like royalty, and taken care of. So much so that we decided to pay to stay at the hotel for our one night in Rome at the end of the trip before we flew out. The historic hotel is beautiful, conviently located, and maintained as you would expect at a St. Regis. We are big fans of the St Regis brand and have spent a lot of memorable occasions at their various locations, and St. Regis Rome does not disappoint. Congrats to VIncenzo the manager and his entire staff for creating the perfect Rome experience.

The Hotel Eden is walking distance. It is a beautiful hotel that is more of a boutique. The Excellsior is a little too big for our taste and seems to cater more to conventions. The St. Regis is incredible.

Stayed three nights at the St.Regis Grand Hotel Rome as part of a 10 day Italy vacation. The hotel is old but in good condition. The rooms are decorated with Louis XV style furnishing and the bath rooms are all new and very nice. Service is good and we enjoyed the food and entertainment in the lobby bar. The hotel is in a very good location for seeing the sights in Rome (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc). The only bad thing I can say is the room prices during peak season can be $1,000.00 per night and parking is $75.00 per day. I used Starwood points for three free nights, but otherwise this is a very expensive hotel that is not worth the money.

We stayed at The St. Regis instead of The Hassler, where our friends were staying, because I could use my Starwoods points. The staff was formal and cold; there were many staff members everywhere, but not once were we greeted by name...in an eerily empty hotel. The contrast was considerable when we returned to The Hassler to have drinks with our friends for the second time. We were greeted warmly and told that our friends were in the bar....they remembered us from our one visit!

We stayed at St. Regis in Rome from April 4th to April 7th 2009 and it was by far the best part of our 15 day trip to Italy. The hotel is situated in the heart of Rome close to the main train station. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are large and comfortable and the hotel staff are very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Upon our arrival the hotel reception desk gave us an upgrade and treated us like royalties. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have the best hotel at a resonable price.

The St Regis Grand is located a stone's throw away from Termini Station, so arriving here is a cinch. Once out of the dreary metro, you'll be greeted with the awe-inspiring Piazza della Repubblica, with the hotel just a few steps away. While others may find fault with the not-so-central location, it really isn't that far away from the sights, and the environment is usually more peaceful and quiet.

The facade of the hotel looks deceiving: once you step within its doors, you'll be greeted with a grand lobby and perfectly coiffed staff. We had a deluxe room and everything was as advertised. Lofty ceiling, chandeliers, huge comfortable King bed, an excellent toilet and air conditioning. Room service was always prompt and polite, although hot water delivered tended to taste of coffee. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed a generous percentage off, and every cent was worth it.
