We stayed at this hotel for 5 days. The hotel is in an excellent location in that it was very close to the train station and all the bus routes. There is also a bar across the street to purchase drinks/water. However, we had to wait 4 hours for our rooms, and when we got in them, there wasn't any room for our luggage. The bed took up the whole room, and we couldn't pass each other without walking over the bed- which was also hard as a rock.. The "air conditioning" was broken, and the room overlooked some aparments and a run down alley. The bathroom was large, but there wasn't a shower curtain or door around the tub, just a partial gate.. the water sprayed everywhere. The tub was broken, so you had to keep the water running while bathing as the drain stop wouldn't work. The staff was nice, but not helpful. The only two good things were the location, and the buffet as the breakfast was good.. However, next time we go to Rome we will definitely not stay here...we had two rooms, and both were horrid. Oh, the hallways are also ackward and I took a nasty fall as there was a step in the middle of a hallway... and forget about the elevators...no room for you AND your luggage...

We chose this hotel for our last night in Italy after traveling for 2 weeks because it was close to the train, no other reason. Had we done more research, we probably would not have stayed here. The neighbourhood was questionable. When we checked in, we were told we were being upgraded to the annex which was a block away. The main hotel building looked liked it had seen better days and we did not see any of the rooms here. The bellhop walked us over to another building which had large locked wooden doors and then an iron work locked inner gate. We were told to check in at the main building when we returned at night for them to let us in. We were surprised by the how nice our room was (although the decor was in a rather dark, boutique style). It was explained to us that the hotel bought the first floor of this residential building and are hoping to acquire more of it. Room service was provided and breakfast was offered at the main building. There was not much to do around the area, lots of cheap import shops. No complaints about the service or staff, just a weird neighbourhood.

We stayed at Morgana in May after staying in Sorrento for a few days we move onto Rome. Its in a good location and was easy to find in such a busy city. We booked in February and got quite a resonable price considering how expensive Rome can be. The room was small but well decorated and clean. Altogether a good base to explore Rome. The only thing i woud say is that staff were not very helpful-at best they seemed stressed and harassed. They did help us with a map etc but this seemed like a chore.

We checked into the Hotel Morgana and could not believe that we were actually staying in such a place.
The hotel is extremely old and worn out. Carpets are all torn and the rooms look like someones garage that was forgotten from a 100 years ago and very tight and tiny even though we had a superior room. We could not move around at all.
All of the floors are literally uneven! To get to the elevator to have to go up several steps, you go down and up steps all the way to your room and then there are steps in the room itself to get to the bed.
This does not work at all if you have luggage which most people do.
The only reason we stayed here is because it is a block away from the train station. The crazy thing is it was too far to walk with our luggage and they were not willing to find someone to help us walk to the station even if we paid them.
Do not stay in this hotel. It needs to be demolished and rebuilt big time!

I stayed at the hotel morgane for 2 nights in September 2009. I requested a single room via the hotel website. This stated that single rooms had a queen size bed. The first room I was offered was a tiny tiny room with a single bed against the wall in it and barely 2ft between the side of the bed and the other wall and the same at the foot of the bed and a tiny alcove for a tiny desk and chair. The shower room was nicely tiled and clean, but small. I didn't accept this room and was shown another room with a 6ft bed in it not a lot of floor space, and a nice shower room , and I accepted that. Breakfast was adequate. Location ok near the Termini station, but not a very nice area.
