Hotel Morgana is located one block from Termini station making it a great base for siteseeing and exploring. Buses go everywhere and you can walk to the Coliseum (for example) in about 15 minutes. The Termini area in general is very safe though keep a very watchful eye out for pickpockets when you are passing the station and riding the Metro or buses. NOTHING in your outside pockets. The room was small, though not by Roman standards, and was very comfortable to spend time in. The hotel was obviously renovated recently and is very pleasant and clean. This hotel had previously been reviewed poorly by one person who did not care for the decor in the breakfast room. Extremely nit picky in my opinion. There was a fridge in our room (and I think in all of the rooms) which made it very easy to keep yogurt, milk, etc in for snacks. The hotel's breakfast is probably overpriced for what you get though we did not try it. There is a full grocery store in Termini (another big plus) so you can easily buy your own food. There are LOTS of restaurants nearby of all different cost levels. Staff were, at times, slightly snotty but were always helpful so that is a minor point. Wireless internet is available at no charge and worked perfectly. Only gripe? Traffic/street noise is a huge problem. We asked for a room at the back and this was of little use. There did seem to be a small courtyard so you may be able to get a room which faces it. If not, ask for a room on the highest floor (7th) which may help and be sure to bring ear plugs.
