We stayed at Hotel Morgana for 4 nights. We had booked a 'deluxe double room' through the hotel's website, and had a confirmed late check in. The room given to us was at best depressing - dingy, old and dirty carpets, shabby bedspreads and was so small (and no I am not complaining by American standards, I am aware of European hotel room sizes), I wonder what a standard room would have been! The bathroom was supposed to be designer marble with a Jacuzzi (as advertised on their website for a deluxe room) but it wasn't anywhere close to the pics we had we seen on the website. Okay, it had a jetted tub, but it wouldn't drain - worse even when you realize it at midnight with soap all over you! So we called front desk, and they sent someone to look at it half an hour later and refused to give us another room. The guy comes in around 12:30 am, and after 15 mins says he cannot fix it and needs a plumber to come in the next morning. He got rid of some of the water using a bucket but by no means we could have taken a shower there. I argued with the front desk, and finally they gave us keys to another room in the 4th floor (we were on the 2nd), to go take a shower in the morning! So much for the first night and if I haven't mentioned yet, the room was also a street facing one, so lots of noise!

The next morning after much argument (they said they would fix the tub for us), they agreed to give us another room around 2 pm when they start checking in people. I must say the staff was really rude, never a word of apology, infact they were mad at us for complaining about the tub! The hotel manager even told me why am I complaining about the tub since I got a good internet price (130eu) - can you believe that? Anyhow, they supposedly gave us another deluxe room, which was even dingier, and the Jacuzzi had cracks and molds all over - we showed it to the hotel staff and so they finally agreed to give us an executive room !!! I think their deluxe room is a farce, don't book one, you may be better off with a standard or superior double.

The executive rooms are quite good - they have nice clean, contemporary decor, feel bright and airy which was quite a welcome change!

The breakfast is fairly good, their cappuccino is quite good (make sure you ask for it), the rest of the staff is Okay - don't expect American hospitality there! They did give me the complimentary ride to the airport (as part of the deluxe package deal for 3 nights), make sure you confirm your date and time at the front desk one day early else your ride may not be available on the day of your departure - I noticed they do not keep a record of it and when you go remind them, they put it down in their dairy!

Overall, I would not stay there and if you did, I suggest you take an executive room - they sometimes give decent rates online. The termini area is OK, not as seedy as I had expected but then you have to be careful in Rome. My feeling is most of the hotels in the Termini area would be similar, Morgana is by no means a 3/4 star hotel.

Stayed for a week. Nice check in but not much chit chat after that. Italians fare better but not surprising. Lovely hotel, very nice decour and atmosphere. Great breakfast but management has understaffed the area and the two or three hardworking waitresses are burdened with the many demands of the guests. Coffee to order but you can wait twenty minutes before it comes. Forget the refill, go see Rome. Rooms are very nice if small, and very dark, owing to little tiny 25 watt lightbulbs. Walk around and buy some on your own, if you read, you'll go blind.

Next to the termini station, very sleezy area but safe if you watch you bag carefully in front of you. Overall a good experience would stay again.

Hubby and I stayed at Hotel Morgana for 1 night the end of May this year, before flying out to Australia the next morning. We booked this hotel because it was so close to the main railway station (for catching the Da Vinci Express to the International Airport), and we knew we would be hauling heavy luggage on our own. This place is quite literally 2 minutes around the corner from the entrance to the station through a cafe, and of course, the platform for Da Vinci Express is the first platform you come to. It could not have been more perfect for location. However, the lifts would have to have been the smallest we saw in the whole of Italy..the smaller one only having room for my husband and his one suitcase (we are not large people). Lovely quiet room at the back, modern contemporary room and ensuite, just smallish on all scales. What can you expect in Roma, one of the most expensive cities in the world. And we paid euro192.50 for the one night (Room 404).

This is a great hotel and I recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient budget hotel in Rome. It is very close to the train station (2 min walk)/metro and also walkable to other sites (15 min walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps). Most of all, for the price you cannot beat the quality of the hotel. The rooms are very sleek/trendy and the service is fantastic. We ended up staying here by chance because it was the only hotel available at a decent rate, and we loved it. I have stayed at many budget hotels in Italy, and this by far is the best. We paid 100 Euro per night, and it was well worth it.. The breakfast was standard, the room was fantastic, very clean, and the staff was very helpful. There are many restaurants nearby as well. I would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for a gem at a decent price, this is it! I suggest you book through the hotel's website - that had the best rate.

As others have said, very close (a block) from the train station and the rooms are very nice. Breakfast was nice with sliced meat in addition to the dry goods. Coffee was great - they even heated the milk. Location to other things was a bit of a walk, but the Metro was in the train station and easy to use also. Our tours took off from a place about 6 blocks away, but a nice walk. Desk staff were helpful, but not overly friendly and elevator was miniature - not sure you could get a wheelchair in. The price seemed steep for the rooms, but we were there over Easter.
