“Very nice choice for budget teravellers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2011

This is nice small hotel placed close to central station and metro so you have very good access to anywhere, even you can walk to Coliseum. My room was small but considering its rate this is OK, the staff are friendly and I checked in very fast, even They invited me for vine testing.
In the opposite I have to mention that the area around central station is full of immigrant and during nights you can see homeless peoples around there.

This is a real jem of a hotel. Close to Termini and not far from all the main sights. The staff are top class, really friendly. Cannot fault the Room in anyway. Spacious (except for bathroom), clean and well air conditioned. Reasonably priced too. The only fault i have is that the bar does not expect cash so you can find yourself running up a tab that you only discover at check out, however this is only a small problem. All in all, i cannot fault it. Top Class.

Nice hotel central to Termini station and right by a metro stop. Small rooms, of course, but nice bathrooms, comfortable bed, and very quiet. Nice breakfast buffet. Didn't really enjoy the hotel restaurant for dinner compared to other restaurants in Rome - it was OK, just not great. The staff works very hard - dinner staff was serving again the next morning for breakfast! Book as far in advance as possible, as room rates go up incrementally as you get closer to your stay (not sure of their exact formula but the price seemed to go up $10 from 3 months out to 2 months, and 2 months to 1 month).

Just one stop from Rome's central station and an easy walk to all of Rome's main tourist sites The Napoleon was the perfect base from which to explore the city. The staff were bilingual, friendly and went above and beyond to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Wifi was always available free of charge and the location was quiet enough to feel like you weren't in the centre of a tourist trap. Highly recommended.

Hotel is conveninetly located next to a Metro exit but quite a walk from the center. Area looks a bit run down butbhas some nice places to eat in the area such as La Sorgente (good Chinese restaurant 100 m away and Fassi the ice cream factory, both see separate reviews). Staff is friendly, room small but ok, bathroom refurbished with very tiny shower cabin. Be careful: Water in shower switches temperature from very hot to cold unexpectedly. Free and fast Internet in hotel is great. Breakfast is good. Tried the restaurant once and was pleasantly surprised by the qualityof the food, service and professional staff. Paid €175 per day plus tax so certainly not cheap but I guess that's what you can expect in Rome. Many reviewers write about the 2 tiny elevators and I agree they are a bit weird but not a big hindrance. All in all a reasonably good stay but nothing special..

We chose Napoleon Hotel for our sightseeing trip to Rome because of the reviews we read on Tripadvisor and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived at the Hotel we found the staff more than helpful. Our room was practical, cool with aircon (much needed as the temperature was 30+, and sufficient for our requirements. The bed was comfy and we slept well every night which was much needed due to exhausting sightseeing each day. We noted a review which mentioned pillows......all you had to do was ask. Just as we got into bed on our first night we realised there were only two pillows. We called reception and within 2 minutes a member of staff was knocking on the door with two extra - very comfortable - pillows! Outside the Hotel is a Metro stop and across the Park was a bus and tram stop and it's only a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum!! So a great location. We cannot thank the staff enought for their assistance with our sightseeing of Rome - especially Franco. The initial map he gave us saw us through four days of signtseeing and some lovely evening venues - the detail of information - bus routes, metro, restuarants, timetables was just fantastic - and the Opera Concerto he recommended was wonderful! Thank you Franco. Breakfast is included in the price and there is plenty of choice - from cold meats and cheese, to cereals, to bacon and eggs and toast and constant supply of hot beverages. Just a personal recommendation - Forno Roscioli - a superb little deli/bakery/restuarant just round the corner from the Hotel - ask Franco. We popped in there on Franco's recommendation and the welcome was just wonderful, along with the food and wine. The staff were extremely friendly and we will definately eat there again on our return - not expensive either! All in all - we would thorougly recommend Napoleon Hotel!
