I strongly dislike writing negative reviews, but after six nights in this hotel I felt I had no choice. After asking twice for a room for our honeymoon (on the phone and when we arrived), we were greeted by a room with two twin beds. The walls are paper thin and you can expect to be woken up very early every morning either by people walking in the hallways or by the loud construction in the dining area. After two nights, we were finally moved to another (double!) room. We were assured that they would move our luggage, but when we returned to the hotel after an hour we found the original room door propped open and the luggage still inside.
At some point, credit cards that had been stored in the room safe disappeared, and when we asked for help we were met with unhelpful staff and blank stares. Charges later appeared in another country on one of these cards before we'd even returned home! The "free wireless" offered by the hotel simply didn't work, even right next to the router. Our second hotel room also smelled of sewage every time we opened it up after being gone for a few hours. Thank goodness for windows that open!
If all you are looking for is a central location and plan to carry no valuables and sleep with earplugs in at night, then this might be the hotel for you.
The positive: Great location, very central. Excellent breakfast, attentive breakfast staff. Furnishings seemed fairly new and in good shape. Nice view over Via del Corsa if you have a room at the front of the hotel. Many restaurants nearby, short walk to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon.
