Our selection on this hotel has proven to be excellent. We strongly recommend it. It is ideally placed, close to Metro stations and the Termini train station. We walked day and night without any having to worry about our own safety. The hotel has a lot of restaurants nearby from which we have to pick Alessio's just round the corner with excellent food & their own wine and is a close walk from Via Nazionale, a street with great shops. If we ever visit Rome again, The Metropole is the hotel we're going to book in. Definitely.

Walking distance to the train station and attractions, yet on a very safe,nice ,quiet street. Breaksfast was incredible and all the staff was very attentive. Cannot say enough wonderful things about about our stay.

This hotel was one of the few in Rome which offers spacious family accomodation. We travelled to Rome for a four day break at Easter and with two young children were lucky to find a city centre hotel which caters for families. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and really set us up for the day. Staff friendly and efficient and didn't mind kids in bar areas etc. Only critisism the hotel brochure claims location within walking distance of major attractions but this wasn't the case taking a good half hour to reach anything worth seeing. We used the open top city tour buses to get around so wasn't too much of a problem. Would definitely stay here again but wouldn't book with Citalia the company we travelled with as they were rubbish.

Front desk staff were courteous and helpful, and although not fluent in English they spoke enough for us to be able to communicate effectively. For people who enjoy walking, the location is convenient to the train station and for taking walks to sightsee. There were some good and reasonably priced restaurants closeby, which came in handy for rainy night dinners. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast spread offered many choices. There is a nice sitting area and bar area in the lobby.
