It´s a great hotel in a magnificent city as Rome.
And all you see it´s the beauty of the city , what in a certain way will make you see and, finally , in the end,... love the hotel, not for itself, but more becouse of Rome.
That´s how i felt beeing there for over a week in April past
The rooms are as all 5 star hotels in Italy, big, for me Italy has the biggest hotel´s rooms of all Europe.
Not all days was changing shints´s day, what for me it´s the worst in a hotel room
Not so big areas for breakfast, not so rich in altenatives of mats, and foof choices,they had to move it for a big parlor , called Jardin d´Hiver room for events.
During a certain morning, I´ve stayed in the room, more time than usually, just to rest I was insistanly disturbed by a housekeeper that urged to see me out just to clean the room and she kept entering the room, several times, and as she saw I wasn´t asleep she probably thought I should go away, she kept repeating " oh sorry lady, I won´t happen again" as she started some sort of ballet, or little dande, walking behind herself, but at the same time without showing her back, and banding her back like I was the Queen of some Impire somewhere...It was ridiculous!
The hotel is beautiful , richly decorated, I adored the bar, and make a lot of visit just to take a Bellini and heard its super live singers by the piano. That wa a wonderful program for the end of a day in home
Very charming staff , gentil and educated people at the most
But I love absolutely the sophisticated atmosphere, the sobriety, darkness but at the same time bright lights of the place. It´s a place to make fantasy, Go there if you´re like me, and have the same feelings for oldness.

The rooms are huge... compared to any other hotel i got in Italy or even other parts of europe. It is clean and well maintained, given the fact that this is a huge hotels with so many rooms to maintain. The gym is great too...

Its a 10-15min walk to the famous spanish steps.... There is a chinese restaurant nearby if you have a sudden crave, if not just round the corner, there are a few restaurants that are considered quite decent.
The breakfast in the hotel is quite ok... just that the food variety is the same everyday.... and imagine i have it for 9 days.... it is just too much... the service is generally ok... just nothing very outstanding nor bad. The lounge serve great drinks and also great nuts!! i still missing the salted nuts.... yummy...

The tv is totally not working.... called a couple times for the technician to fix and no one came up.... i got to the point i totally forget about it...

The bed is really as promised! Heavenly and comfortable... the pillow needs to upgrade to comparable quality though...

However the laundry service was really bad, first of all, the charges is not low to start of with... then, my jeans and a jacket came back wet not on one occasion but 3!.... in a plastic cover.... simple logic will tell u, no wet clothes in plastic... let alone its laundry service... to think that over the 9 days stay... i spent 400 euro on laundry service to get this kind of quality.... but just due to no choice.... i still have to send it in for wash and press....

A truly terrible stay , we were obliged to stay here for 5 nights because of conference attendance . Hard to know where to start but here's a good spot - this is not a clean hotel . At this price point & a completely undeserved 5-Star rating , guests have a right to expect at the very least, a clean hotel . This place isn't. General spaces , rooms , hallways all give an impression of poor cleaning habits . There were mosquitoes in my room & I didn't even open the windows. Air conditioning vents are filthy and we had to ask for the filters in our air unit to be replaced (they were filthy when they were changed). Mould grows happily inside the shower stalls .
What else ? Try the most arrogant, unhelpful and downright insolent Concierge desk I have ever seen . Generally clueless and unhelpful about sights and restaurant recommendations , they distilled their pearls of wisdom with disdain and reluctance. Public spaces look terribly tired, rooms are dingy (I saw 6 other rooms during my stay), service levels are poor. The staff generally stand around waiting for tips for performing even the most basic functions (for which they are presumably paid). A complete AVOID as far as we are concerned , almost any 3 star hotel in Rome would beat the pants off of this overblown & pretentious place. Stay away if you have the choice (we didn't)!

I went on a 3 night stay (November 2012) with 5 other relatives, and we all agreed that customer service did not exist at this hotel. Staff do not even acknowledge you upon arrival and expect to wait for them if they are chatting amongst themselves. Although very grand and spacious, the rooms are quite dowdy and need modernising. When having breakfast the service of the waiters was even worse. We would not return to this hotel as unfortunately the staff let it down. Also, expect to pay a fortune when ordering from the room service menu (burger, pizza, fries & 2 x soft drinks 80 euros!!)
