We chose this hotel, as we were visiting family friends and this is one of the ones closest to them.
It is in a business district of Rome, and just inside the suburbs of Rome. If you want to spend time seeing the sights, this hotel is too far out, unless you know your way around, stay somewhere closer to the city centre. however, it is Ideal for FCO airport, which is just down the road, fellow guests included stayovers for the offices around it and also the World Food Program. when we left on Saturday morning, hotel felt as though it would be empty most of the weekend.
Rooms are exactly like you would expect from a Holiday Inn, Same standard, Bed, Pillows, Plastic sink area in Bathroom, only problem with room was that fan was not working so room was quite warm first night.
Room and public areas spotless, and what interaction we had with the hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
Outdoor pool was closed because it was 'still winter', no problems with that though.
Breakfast is expensive at 28 euro, and food is standard at city business hotel rates of 14 euros for a main course (Think of travellers that can claim on expenses). Eating areas immediatley outside the hotel are very limited
Although I say I would reccomend this hotel to a friend and it is not a bad hotel, If I did not have family friends in Rome, I stay closer to tour the city centre.
And yes i did hear the dogs in the pound barking at about midnight, but to me it was only for a few seconds, and only because there was no other noise outside at that time.
