“Ok...the location saves this from grace”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

That is it really. Great location but the staff weren't particularly friendly despite our attempts to jooly things up. Room was downgraded without us knowing (until we got the bill) and the toilet as absoutely filthy.... I would not rate this a 4*; more like a 3* to me. Next time we go we shall book its sister hotel in the adjacent street. There, the roof top is more suited for its purpose as opposed to the Atlante Garden Hotel that was quite shabby....

We paid £350 for 3 nights. Each drink from bar was over £6. No satellite tv in room, no tea making facilities. Front desk and waitresses were plain ride other than one receptionist. Breakfast was disappointing. We didn't use our free shuttle ride to hotel from airport, but they wouldn't let us use it to get back to airport instead. Only positive was the location which was about 1/2 mile to Vatican. But next time we would stay nearer to the Trevi Fountain over the other side of the river. This hotel was the only part of our trip we were disappointed with.

We did not realise just how good the location was. The Vatican is an easy 10 minutes walk away. It's close to the Metro and has a direct bus line into the centre close at hand.
Rooms are compact, but enough for a great base. The concierge team is really helpful.
We only had B&B as so many good restaurants are close by.
Special tip. You can have breakfast on the roof of the sister Hotel, Atlante Star instead of the Atlante Garden with a great view over Rome and St Peter's. It's 4 minutes walk away.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Courtyard. Rooms on Crescenzio suffer from traffic noise. We changed...

I've just got back home from my trip to Rome.
me and my wife booked to the Atlante Garden Hotel directly via the hotel website.
the price was VERY Comfortable ! and they offer free pick-up from the Airport! (boking.com price was almost 170% from the original without the free pickup).
the hotel is located 2 minutes from the Vatican and shopping\restaurant streets.
the room was very nice, not too big but have all you need! a little TV with "TOPCrime" channel that provide good English TV-shows. a Jacuzzi that was one of the best things after the long walks through Rome, a big closet, big comfortable bed and good cleaning services.
I've heard the breakfast is good but we didn't taste because we only eat kosher.
last but not least... I can't tell how much I impressed and appreciate the staff. So nice and do the best they can to please their customers. they speak very good English and it was a pleasure to be served by them and we felt really safe in their hands.

Thank you for a wonderful vacation Atlante!

Room Tip: We were on the first floor, and we sometimes you can catch the lobby Wifi Signal :)

Our second visit. Perfectly located for visits to the vatican.Probably a bit dated but with olde world charm.
Booked a quad room at the back of the hotel. Peaceful, quiet and perfectly adequate.
staff friendly and helpful.
Good breakfast choice.
Lovely roof terrace to enjoy a glass of wine. Visited the sister hotel ( Atlante Star) the roof garden is fabulous with great veiws and the drinks very reasonably priced.
free pick up from airport (saving us 50 Euro)
Got a great deal through the hotels website . 5 stars all round.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are much quieter.

Atlante Garden Hotel staff were ever so friendly and competent. The Atlante Garden is so conveniently located to the Vatican, we could stroll over there in less than twenty minutes! As an added bonus, we found Don Pasquale & his fabulous pizza and sandwiches. WiFi in the library saved data costs, but it would have been so much better to have free WiFi our room.

Just back from a five day break in Rome and had a wonderful time at this hotel. The accommodation was first class, clean, quiet and spacious. The breakfast was great and plentiful and the location was so central to all the amenities.Communication was excellent from booking, as emails were received immediately with all the information we needed, especially the free pick-up at the airport. The staff were extremely friendly especially Francesco at reception who had a smile and warm greetings always.I will return and recommend this hotel to hotel to all my friends. Thanks Atlante for making our holiday such a success!
