We visited this hotel a couple weeks ago per our Globus Tour group, and was disappointed in it's considerable distance to downtown Roma. It was included in our tour itinterary, and we had no choice in hotels. (It was located in more of a residential area.) Thank goodness for the free shuttle bus service leaving every hour, which dropped you off at the Piazza Cavour - within walking distance of many things. Free maps provided at the front desk were also extremely helpful.
Rooms were somewhat mediocre: most 4-Star Hotels (by European standards) seem to think dirty, stained carpets are O.K.. Room was good-sized by Italian standards, 2 twin beds extremely firm. Shower and bath were adequate. Breakfast basic, but plentiful. (Be wary of the "Breakfast Room Police," who asked you to leave the dining area if you weren't one of the regular patrons, but merely a group tour member!....A separate dining room with less breakfast items offered were for the group tour members.)
The "nearby grocery store" turned out to actually be located down a hill below the hotel, accessible only by walking a mile or more through parking lots, an alley filled with garbage, and down a terrifying auto ramp - jumping out of the way of speeding cars and motorbikes! ...Internet access was unavailable when we were there, but expensive.
This hotel caters more to conventions than tour groups, and left us with the feeling more than once that we were merely being tolerated. Thankfully we were only there a couple of nights. The hotel pool was filled with water, but was unavailable to use due to no lifeguard on duty. The best part of this hotel experience was the great (free) shuttle bus available!
