This hotel is a little out of the way, but it offers a regular free bus in and out of central rome. Dropped you in a very easy to find place, and ran quite late into the evening, had no problems with it at all. Was quite nice to go back to a quieter area.

Room was fine, we didn't spend much time in it anyway. Ate in the hotel restaurant, thought it was a bit overpriced for the amount of food you got, so ate out the rest of the time. Breakfast was fine though. We did spend one afternoon by the pool which was great as it was very hot when we went!

There's a huge supermarket under the hotel (it's on a hill) on the main road. Fine for picking up water, snacks and laughing at funny product names!

Was a while ago, so can't remember many details! I think we got a cheap deal on it, but i would think about staying there again if i go back to Rome!

Last Visit:October 2007, I was given room #221 on 10/3/2007, the carpet looked like it had been in a barnyard, all the table tops were dirty with glass rings on them, the bathroom countertop had dirty black glass rings on it, the bath countertop at the back of the sink rim had a 1/2 inch of crud along it, the shower/tub had black mold and fungus in various places, the bathroom ceiling had stains and dirt on it, wallpaper was peeling in various parts of the room, one section near the entrance had wallpaper torn off and missing from the wall, the door to the adjoining room had damage to it and pieces torn off, the TV outlet was hanging out of the wall, the 220V outlet by the TV was missing the faceplate and the outlet was broken away from the box and hanging out, the hall and stair carpets also looked like they had been used in a barnyard.

After extended complaints to management, I was moved to room 225. It was only slightly better. Looking at room 221 after I was moved, I found that they had just taken the toilet "sanitary" paper band out of the trash and put it back on the toilet and the room was ready for the next guest!

Stay away!!!! What a dump

The hotel was clean and the facilities were good. The pool was full sized, and made a great place to go back to after a full day sight seeing. The breakfast was great, with lots of choice including eggs, bacon and sausage if required. The complimentary bus service was excellent and run at convenient times. The staff were helpful and the price was excellent for two interconnecting rooms for the children.

Overall appearance of the hotel, rooms and breakfast buffet were alright, but we booked this place for the pool. Once there we found that the pool closes at 7p.m.....just when you'd like to relax and take a cool dip after a full day of walking in Rome. They don't have a free shuttle from the airport so it cost us 50 Euro each way ($68.80 + tip). This is 20 min. from the airport. There isn't anything around to walk to in the evening except a grocery store which is a 10-15min. walk each way down a filty trash and condom littered road. We would never walk it after dusk for it appears to be a place used for the "ladies of the night" by the condom count. They do offer free shuttles almost hourly to Rome's Vatican area which was nice. The younger staff at the desk was pleasant and tried to be helpful but the middle-aged blonde was just the opposite. The breakfast buffet did have a large variety to choose from and it was all very good. The hotel does not display various sightseeing tours or points of interest for the Rome area which was surprising.

I've only been to Rome once, so I don't know if this hotel is par for the course for Rome or what, so I'm comparing it to a US Hotel, I'd give it a 2/5. We lost power twice in our room. Our AC worked but some family traveling with us didn't have working AC. The second to last day a part of our bathroom door fell off. Various places within the room had paint falling off. The fixtures were very, very old. There wasn't a dresser, not even drawers in the night stands. The mattress was far past it's lifespan, you could feel every spring coil. The shuttle was mentioned as every half hour, really its hour, and there are a few large gaps during the day when it doesn't run. It typically takes 30m to get into the city. The pool was closed for half our stay, for the other half it closed at 7:00 PM. What use is a pool that closes so early? The only reason we stayed at this hotel was because we wanted the pool as a place to cool off after a long hot day in the city. I've never been to a hotel with a pool that closed at 7. Then, half way through our trip they started doing exterior work on the hotel and completely shut down all pools & balconies, including in-room balconies. I couldn't imagine why, the work was at ground level, but whatever. Hotel staff said it'd be closed for a long time. They'd also annoyingly get pushy about where resort guests could go for meals. The bar was ridiculously overpriced with $6 cokes (I'm applying the $ to euro exchange rate). The restaurants were of course overpriced as most things in Rome, but service was good there atleast. Desk service was good as well. There was pay wifi & a small pay computer/internet cafe available. $10 euros for an hour. When so many US hotels, even cheap ones that go for less than $50 a night, offer it for free, having to pay for it is somewhat insulting. There was no fitness center. The walls were unbearably thin. You could hear ever word said in the rooms next door. The condition of the resort could best be typified by their interactive TV services. If you turn on the TV you'll watch an intro alluding to many different services. But when you go through the menus to learn more 90% it all just says "under construction." I would not stay here again, nor recommend it to others. Without the pool being open there is no good reason to stay here. You are far from everything so have to rely on the shuttle & have limited dining options.

  • Liked — Service was good, the staff tried.
  • Disliked — The building, the pool hours, the construction, the location, everything except the staff.
