Stayed for 3 nights, rooms clean, shower great water pressure, beds comfortable, could use alittle paint on the walls, but room was spotless. Breakfast buffet was very good. Bartender Luigi, nice young italian man. Front desk staff nice but gruff at times. Very close to Vatican I bought the roma pass at the Termini station, gives you entrance into 2 museums plus discount to others, and bus and metro ticket for 3 days from activation. Nobody uses tickets on the bus, mom and I were the only ones validating our tickets. So my question is do you really need a bus ticket????? Did see a few tourists validating, tho. Don't think that I would do the roma pass again, should have done a hop-on hop-off bus instead, takes you to the high point areas, trevi, spanish steps, etc. We wanted to catch the high points, not all the museums of art, which I'm sure a beautiful, but not our thing. The Vatican is a must, but buy your ticket before you come to rome or a few days before you plan to visit if you are in the city for a few days. would stay here again.

Easy walking distance to St. Peter's. For cruise passengers that are staying in Rome before their cruise, the hotel is close to the St. Peter's train stop where you can get a train for a very low cost. It goes to Civitavecchia in about an hour with a few stops on the way. We walked the few blocks because we traveled pretty lightly with rolling luggage. No problem! I thought the price was fair, considering the location. Breakfast was more than I have experienced at other hotels in Italy (and is included).

Walk out the front door, look left, and you see the dome of St.Peters. 2 blocks from the Square. Get a ticket on the double decker tour bus and Rome is yours! There is a small market next door, and great pizza around the corner. Great room, fabulous breakfast and helpful staff.

Stayed here just last weekend. Had a great time, staff were helpful, hotel clean and in a great location (espcially if you want to be near St Peters square!!) Also quiet, which you wouldn't get if in centre of Rome. Prices not too expensive either considering where it is (£5 for wine or prosecco) always with nibbles too! :) Rooms well appointed, especially for us ladies with make up to do! Hairdryers a bit wierd, so glad I had my own. Some rooms have a balcony (our friends did) but you can still get a great view of the Vatican even if you don't have a balcony. Local area good (nice foodmarket just a few doors along, where we got beer 1.50euro and bottle of really nice wine for about 3euro...handy as rooms have a fridge! As always Italians brilliant and so friendly, recommended us restaurants, within your budget. Cab service excellent too, no worries getting to centre in the evening (heels a no go on cobbled streets!) Would stay here again. Oh one little :( no tomatoes at breakfast (strange for a tom growning country!) would have liked that with bacon and scrambled egg!! Otherwise breakfasts fab, plenty of choice.

We have just returned from a 5 day visit to Rome, we arrived at the hotel at 11am and were booked into a room straight away. We were given a double room facing the street with a limited view of St. Peter's Basilica from our balcony on the first floor. The room was ok but could definitely benefit from some redecorating as walls and paintwork were dirty and chipped. There are no safes in the room but there are safety deposit boxes at reception on request. The bed was made daily and we were given fresh towels but for some reason it was always very dusty.

Breakfast was ok; staff were unsmiling in both the restaurant and at reception but would help with requests and queries during the day if asked.

The worst thing about this hotel was the noise!!! This is by far the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in, the noise from the street, passers by, the bottle bank, traffic and refuse trucks seemed never ending, it also seems as if outside was a drop off point for tour groups early in the morning. The walls in the hotel must be paper thin as for 2 nights we were kept awake by another hotel guest who talked, shouted and entertained in his room well into the small hours despite a call to reception to complain after a few hours on the first night. My advice would be to invest in some ear plugs (it helped a little) and request a room at the back of the hotel if you are booked to stay here.

Location wise this hotel is good for the Vatican but you would be far better getting a hotel on the other side of the river if you want to see the main tourist areas especially at night as it is a long walk from the metro after a busy day, about 15-20 mins walk to/from Octavvio station.

If I returned to Rome I would definitely not stay here again.
