I booked this hotel via a pre-paid web site and admit the price was good compared to most hotels in Rome. But, it was a big mistake, one I won't soon make again. I was quite disappointed that it was billed as a 4-star hotel on the site. I don't think I would give it more than 2 stars personally. The room was dark, very outdated and dirty. The shower curtain was stained and there were scuff marks all over the tub. The carpet was filthy and shabby. The bed spread was old and outdated. The TV looked to be from the 80s.

This hotel is badly in need of a renovation and amenity facelift. The breakfast was ok. The staff didn't change the stained tableclothes between uses. The only highpoint from my point of view was the location. It was very close to the Vatican and a short walk to the Metro. However, I would not stay there again.

Just arrived back home from a 4 nights vacation in rome, we stayed at the Nova Domus hotel and suites, and I must say that I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews on this site, but we were plesantly surprised, the hotel was nice and not at all dirty as I read some one said. The staff was all very sweet and helpfull, and the rooms nice.
The only thing to put a finger on is the location, it is ok close to the metro and the vatican, and we had no problem getting around to the sights, but the next time I go to Rome I will choose a hotel closer to the Termini or Piazza Navona.
But all in all a good hotel I would recomend if you have no problem that it is a good walk from most of the sights.
(btw. sorry for my poor english, I am from Denmark and english is not my native language)

It was extemely dirty and the staff at the front desk was very prejudice against american citizens. I was yelled at because my suitcase hit the stairs and made a loud noise. I explained to the man at the front desk that the elavator was not working and I had to take the stairs with my two suitcases and he made many hand gestures at me. I did notice how nice he was to French and Italian citizens. The walls and floors in the Resturant had dirt and red sauce all over them. Staying at this hotel ruined my trip to Rome. I will never go to Italy again.

When I called the front desk, they yelled at me, changed american dollars to euro they wouldn't look up at you did the transaction without a word. After dinner the tour group were standing in the lobby talking and saying their goodbyes they told us to shut up. day we left the elevator was not working; had to use the stairs and the suitcase hit the stairs and made a noise; they yelled at us for that. No respect to Americans. Restaurant was filthy; spaghetti sauce all over the walls where we would sitting .
Filthy rooms - dirt over all walls. Location very poor; no restaurants or shops to go to.
Very dangerous to walk around.

It is a ten minutes walk from the Cipro Metro Station to the hotel. We booked a triple room and got two twin beds and two twin sofa beds (a quad room?). It was a very good size room for the three of us. We have two TVs and a big bathroom. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate as compared to the US budget hotels (waffle makers and scrambled eggs). The hotel was full of Globus tour guests so watch out when the tour guests are having their breakfast so you can avoid the crowd. The front desk called a cab for us early in the morning (3:30 am). Overall, we are very happy with this hotel.
