“3 night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

After reading some of the reviews we were expecting a tiny room, water all over the bathroom floor and a trek for breakfast. What we found was a pleasant small hotel, with nice bright rooms, not huge but not an issue as it was only a base. The bed was large and comfortable, rooms nice and dark at night with no noise from the road. We had no problem with water in the bathroom. There is a bit of a need for shelves to put your things in, in the shower. Also there is no mirror in the bedroom, bit awkward when getting ready. We found the breakfast area ok and the food was adequate and the service friendly. The hotel was clean, in a great location and the staff willing to help with directions and tips for local transport. Our only complaint is the wardrobe door would not shut and swung open, a little dangerous in the night navigating past it in the dark to go to the loo. We did tell them at reception within half an hour of arriving, but nothing was done. We ended up wedging it with shoes. A little disappointed they did not even attempt to fix it, however it did not spoil our stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights the last weekend of August. Our room was bright, clean and on the top floor. While the room is considered small by American standards, you shouldn't need to stay in your room when in Rome. It provided a large comfy bed, plenty of space for two grown men and all of our travel gear/supplies. It is very close to the Colosseum and a Metro stop. The concierge was extremely helpful, he provided directions to a few favorite spots frequented by the locals (while I can't speak any Italian, he was able to assist in English). The hotel was clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. The views from the hotel's breakfast terrace was amazing. If you're a health conscious individual, the yogurt, fruit and hard boiled eggs make a perfect breakfast choice. We certainly will be returning to this hotel in the future.

Room Tip: Book the room on the 3rd floor! It's the only one up there and it's super quite!

The hotel is a few steps from the Forum and the Colosseum, near public transport by bus or metro to anywhere you want to go. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The decor is dated and the trek to the breakfast terrace has been mentioned by others but these are no impediment to a good night's sleep in an ideal location. Ask Fabio at the front desk for anything you need - he is exceptionally courteous and helpful! and at breakfast make a point of asking for a cappuccino rather than taking the American coffee from the thermos. We had a garden room on the ground floor- it was delightful to have access to a chair outdoors in a shady space. Only disappointment here is the wifi, which was really too slow to be useful.

Ok,we visited Rome on a budget and this Hotel came up on an offer,so for the money it was ok,but we were expecting so much more as it has a 4 star rating. It should be a 3 star! Reception was a bit dark and dingy as were the corridors, not sure what the interior designers are trying to achieve! Our room was modern and bright,a welcome change from the rest of the hotel. We did have a lovely view and that was a bonus. It is in a great location with the Colosseum a stones throw away, but it was a good walk to the shops and restaurants and pretty squares. The bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity were a bit run down and even closed. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. It was on the roof terrace so it had nice views but the food quality and choice was terrible, the worst I've ever experienced, the birds were landing on the bread and that was the only thing worth eating , oh and the croissants were nice. Rome was beautiful, although we went in January and it was very wet so would go back again but perhaps later in the year. I wouldn't go back to this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in August. The Hotel's has the best location , some 400 m from the Colosseum. The hotel is clean, staff was polite and friendly . The breakfast is served in the hotel's top floor . From the breakfast area there is beautyful views of the historical buildings and street. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and made up daily. In the reception there was very kind finnish speaking young receptionist named Sara. We got excellent customer service from her. She gave us practical advices for good restaurants and shops etc. She endeavoured to help whenever she could.

Room Tip: Great location. Higher floors have better window wievs.

This is what we expected. A very contemporary looking hotel which has all you could need in it for a trip around room. The location is what you're paying for with this hotel. We could look out of our window and see The Forum, the Colloseum is down the road and everything else is literally almost within walking distance.
The staff are very very helpful. FOLLOW THEIR ADVICE! The 110 bus is the best bus, it was amazing.. great for seeing the sites.
The Wi-Fi is terrible! Really really bad, but free. So if you want wi-fi don't go here.. That is literally the only bad thing about this.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in August and the hotel has the best location! I have read a few reviews which said they had to get taxis however we walked to the Vatican City two days, the colosseum is on the corner and the amazing shops, Trevi fountains and the pantheon are down the road.

The room is terribly small, about a foot around the very small bed so you are forever standing on suitcases (and each other!) the maids tend to move things around, however I am sure they mean well I didn't like this and asked for them to stop. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and made up daily.
To get to the lift there is a rickety small lift which I promised myself I would not go in other than to take my case up n and them back down at the end of the week but from all of the walking round the city I ended up in it most days to get to the third floor and it was safe enough. The. Corridors could do with a makeover however it is not a scruffy hotel.

The breakfast was not worth getting out of bed for, I did this on one occasion and there were bread rolls and jam and cereals, no meat or cheese and no toaster. It is quite small up there so when we arrive we has to sit at a table that had Ben used which I didn't mind however this wasn't freshened up and plates were not taken away until I had nearly finished my breakfast.

The receptionist staff were very kind and polite and endeavoured to help whenever they could.
