We were recommended to go to this off the beaten path restaurant by our Roads to Italy Tour guide. After doing a bit of searching, we found this hidden treasure!! We walked in for lunch and it was like walking into a time warp. I felt like it was Sunday lunch/dinner with my family. The Mother, Father, Daughter and another relative were sitting playing a Roman card game. My wife and I sat and the owner, Roberto took the menus away from us with a promise of a Roman eating experience and off we went on a eating journey that I will not forget anytime soon. He showed us a picture of Bill Clinton and him from the Clinton's trip to Italy. I felt like he was family!! We were served a bottle of house red with our Antipasto, then onto a pasta - two different kinds btw, the secondi was a variety of veal dishes, stuffed sauteed artichokes and then ended with desert and cappacino...It was a 2 hour eating frenzy!! After getting the check (which was a number written on a piece of paper - it was not cheap but worth every penny based on what we ate and drank...60 euro with grats). We then got a walking tour of Roberto's wine cellar which was a catacomb filled with a variety of wines. This treasure was worth the search!!
