“Getting it right close to the Vatican...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Stand out establishment. All that's excellent Italian. Splendidly authentic personable professional service. Great attention to design detail. Super comfortable bed and linen. Plenty of hot water. Clean as a whistle. Deliciously complete breakfast. Good location for Vatican. Seemed like we were coming home to get away from our touristy exertions. Everything worked and when it didn't our hosts made sure it did. We'll be back...

They treat you like a family member. The staff there is unbelievably nice. The breakfast is served every morning with great warmth and cooked for each guest separately. Makes you feel really special. There are loads of snacks and drinks available for the guests to help themselves to (free of charge).
The room was quite clean and well furnished although the bathroom was a bit small and the amenities were not the very best. Overall, a great experience!

St. Peter's Guest House takes staying at a B&B to a whole new level! The location is great, very close to the metro stop and only about a 10:00 walk from St. Peter's Square. It is on a very busy street full of shops and restaurants, but none of the outside noise or foot traffic finds its way into the building. Maya, the manager, was super friendly and helpful, and left a complimentary bottle of wine in the room since my wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon. Our room was very spacious and clean. The kitchen area was fully stocked with fruit, water, coffee and snacks and available to us at all hours of the day, free of charge, which was great. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful, fresh and made to order. On the day we checked out, Maya let us keep our bags at the B&B free of charge while we continued exploring the city, which was very nice of her and convenient for us. We really enjoyed everything about this great little B&B and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

My hubby & I were planning to go for the Easter Mass thus chose to stay at St Peter's Guest House during our 1st part of our Rome stay. The place was not the easiest to find as there was no signage & the numbering of the houses/shops are not really in order as residental & businesses could share same unit no.

From Ottaviano metro exit, just keep to the same side & the hotel is just about 15m away. It is behind a big wooden door & you can find St Peter's Guest House name on the door bell. This boutique B&B is a gem! After struggling our luggages into the mini ancient lift, we are welcomed by a trendy & modern place. The reception & rooms are on different floors thus giving you a total privacy when you get back to your room.

The room we had has a separate living space from the bedroom & the toilet/bathroom is pretty huge, considering the many boutique B&B we had stayed previously. Let the pictures do the talking!

The breakfast is good, considering that they actually make eggs for you for breakfast & it's included in the room rate! The snacks & mini bar is free throughout the day which is a big bonus. To conclude, We love the location, the hotel & their hospitality! It's just a 5 mins walk to Vatican City. Simply divine!

No complaints at all. Perhaps just one small warning, if you are a light sleeper, you might not want to have a room by the main street. The windows are not entirely sound-proof.

After staying in rome for 3 nights, my wife and I had a fabulous time overall. This was helped immensely by our accommodation which was modern, stylish, and in a great location, a stones throw away from the vatican and tube. Roxanne was a great host who greeted us with a bottle of fizz and took time to advise us on the best places to go and how to get around the city (walking whenever possible). She recommended a good restaurant nearby which we visited on our first evening which was great value. Our room was just off the reception and although the communal area is very small, we had expected this from the reviews so did not see this as an issue. You only have your room, but there are endless places nearby to sit and watch the world go by. I was glad we were located away from the breakfast area though as one of the rooms open directly out onto it. Breakfast was included as well as helping yourself to free drinks and snacks throughout the stay if needed, which was a nice touch. They evan had gluten free snacks for those with dietry requirments. Roxanne and the other staff were very helpful, with much better English than my shameful knowledge of Italian. Would recommend to family and friends and happily stay there next time we visit. Having thrown the coin backwards into The Trevi Fountain I hope we will get back again some day. Thanks..

Room Tip: Room away from the breakfast area to avoid noises early in the morning.

Located closed to Vatican, well connected with Underground (Ottaviano) and many buses, the B&B offers recently renovated rooms, comfortable and clean. In a common breakfast area different kind of snacks, fruit, beverages are available for free. The staff is very polite (they offer you a welcome drink at your arrival, not common...), breakfast is rich of sweets, salami, cheese etc. Not expensive in relation to the quality.
