Description: Founded in 1999 in the heart of the Prati area, very close to the Walls of Vatican City, Siciliainbocca is the first of three restaurants of this group in Rome. Our recipes faithfully reproduce the taste of Sicily, such as "Messina" salad with dried cod from the grill, cherry tomatoes from "Pachino", fresh "cipollotto" and Marjoram. Or try the "Panelle"- delicious deep fried starters made with chick-pea flower. Or our famous pasta with "Sarde", raisins & pine nuts, to continue with steamed sword fish with olives, capers and fresh tomatoes. Another true palate teaser is our Palermo style sea bass which we prepare with our secret recipe. Not to forget our typical meat dishes such as Messina rolls and our typical Sicilian sweets and desserts. On our wine list you will find more than 150 different Sicilian red and white wines. For your convenience we have an ample parking space which is reserved exclusively for our clients. Furthermore, the restaurant is completely air-conditioned.

“Worth the trip. Recommended for fish lovers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

I love the Sicilian decor. The food was very good. I paid a fortune for a whole sea bass (EUR 48!), but it was WORTH it. The restaurant gets the fish twice weekly directly from Sicily. I can also recommend the fried calamari.

Excellent desserts. Try the semifreddo.

Service was friendly and professional.

“Lovely garden dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

What a great place to get away from the tourist restaurants and go where the locals go. Very friendly waiters and really tried hard to communicate in English. Very attentive and the menu selection was great. Had wonderful fish dish with lovely vegetables. Nice house wine, we were treated very well... It is tucked away in the neighborhood but worth the venture.... I dont think this restaurant is overpriced worth every penny..they have another restuarant Al Flaminio we did not visit.

“Lovely seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

Lovely restaurant with fresh seafood. I had the Fried Seafoid and Zucchini, perfect, then the Spaghetti with Sardines. Absolutely delicious. Servers were very attentive. Easily come back for their whole fish.

“Beautiful Sicilian tiles and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

This restaurant is charming as soon as you walk in the door. The entire place is covered with typical Sicilian tiles and even indoors tries to create a patio like setting. The fish on ice appears fresh with a wide variety of plates to choose from. I had the appetizer of the day which was fresh raw fish with olive oil. I also ate a pasta course with sardines, almond and sundried tomatoes which was very tasty. I ordered a cannolo for dessert but found it lacking- the ricotta not tasting like fresh ricotta and with hazelnuts on the end instead of candied fruit or pistachios. However, a friend of mine ordered the icecream served in the fresh fruit and nut shells which she said was wonderful.

“Good food - lovely evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Rome is full of wonderful restaurants but Siciliainbocca Prati is one that I will remember when others fade.
The atmosphere is typical, large families eating together, groups of friends, but also couples having a romantic dinner together.
First course was three different seafood starters – marinated anchovies, salted cod salad and seafood salad.
For pasta the waiter suggested we try two different types, one typical of Sicily with tomato sauce, ricotta cheese and basil and the other typical of Palermo, with sardines, fennel, pine nuts and breadcrumbs. They were both delicious!
For main course we opted for a beautiful fresh sea bass which the waiter brought to show us before it was coated in breadcrumbs and grilled.
Sadly we were too full to take a desert but never mind, there is always next time.
