“The Right Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

I picked the Hotel Navona because I thought it would be central to most of the places I wanted to visit in Old Rome. It turned out to be just that. It is just 2 blocks from the Piazza Navona (my favorite) and within walking distance of the major attractions from St. Paul's Cathedral to the Colosseum as well as the Trevi Fountain and everything in between. The hotel, while not luxurious, was clean and most importantly quiet. The breakfast was passable and in room internet was included in the very reasonable price for the location.

Room Tip: For couples traveling, ask for larger rooms if available.

We chose this location because of it's proximity to many of the sights (Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum, Spanish Steps etc) We did not regret our choice! We had a lovely time there.
The rooms were small but very neat and functionnal. The area is fairly quiet at night and sleep came easy. The hotel staff was friendly and very cooperative, provided us with an excellent map of Rome that served us very well. They highlighted all the sights on the map and we went on our way and our visit was quite easy.
We saw a review criticizing the management of this hotel. On the contrary, we found them to be very friendly and cooperative. In fact, the owner introduced himself and, proud of the fact that the property has belonged to his family for 700 years, he gave us a tour of the building. He is quite proud of it, rightly so, and we appreciated our tour of history.
Would most certainly chose this hotel again if we return to visit Rome

Just returned from a 5 day visit to Rome. Hotel Navona is ideally situated within a 20 minute stroll of the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, The Colosseum & The Vatican. It is literally just around the corner from The Pantheon where there are plenty of cafes for breakfast and people watching even if the food is a little was a little the pricey side. There are so many places to eat nearby you are spoilt for choice and away from the Piazza cafes and into the many side streets the price drops. The hotel also provides a buffet breakfast for €10 which we only had once but was fine.
The room we had was large, clean & towels replaced each day.
Don't know if we met different staff to some of the reports on this site but the ones we met were polite and helpful.
The only downside was the noise from the street at night, but a small price to pay.
Would definitely use the hotel again.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful, very friendly and assisted us with booking tickets to the Vatican as well as letting us know when our luggage arrived which was late. The hotel is very nice and central and close to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona. The rooms had free wireless, were clean. the air-conditioner in the room was one of the best in all hotels I stayed in Europe.
We met the owners, very welcoming people they made our stay extraordinary by recommending us some good restaurants in the area.
Overall we had a fantastic stay, we will for sure return back soon.

This hotel is more than a deception. The staff is arrogant and not very friendly. It is because of these kind of people that Italy has such a bad reputation. Please avoid this hotel and his manager beheavour next time and your stay in Rome will be a great moment by avoiding this hotel

I stayed in this hotel this summer, I had a wonderful accommodation with a friendly atmosphere. The hotel is located in a historical building in the middle of Rome where we walked everywhere, the staff were friendly and highly professional. The room was clean and well decorated, in the building you can see some of the Roman columns still standing which was the amazing part. I would definitely rebook in this hotel for my future reservations.

Central location. Clean, tidy Hotel. The Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Junior Suite which has a very unusual room layout. Not recommended to shy couples or couples that don't get on too well as the bathroom is in the main bedroom with only a curtain between! Although, having said that, the room we were given also had a separate toilet across the hall which was exclusively ours, very nice.

It was our Anniversary trip and the Hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of wine, which was very nice. The Junior Suite also has a whirlpool bath which was lovely.

Can' really go wrong with this Hotel if you don't want to spend a fortune. Worth upgrading to a Suite for that little extra something special.

Note: Lots of steps up to Reception.
