Hotel Lancelot is in a great location, within 5 minutes walk to the Coliseum which has a subway station; however, the rooms are noisy...and I mean noisy from the hotel, not from the street. I found it a bit hard to sleep at night because of the noise from the other guests in the hotel (and they weren't being overloud either). Plus, we had heard so many good things about the dinners at the Hotel Lancelot and were really, really disappointed. In fact, the dinner was probably one of least enjoyable our entire trip. I might consider staying here again simply because of the location, but would definitely not eat dinner here again.

Spent four nights at Lancelot (27.10.04 - 01.10.04) on honeymoon. Booked late (cancelled other hotel due to bad reviews on trip advisor) and wasn’t expecting there to be availability but staff were really accommodating find us a room. The location of the hotel was excellent. Only a stones throw from the colluseum which meant we walked past it everyday. All of the staff were excellent at their jobs and very friendly. The room was spotless (bedding changed every day). Breakfast was also superb with a good choice served buffet style. Could not fault this Hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. Helped to make the stay a more memorable occasion. Will definitely stay here on my next visit.

I stayed at the Lancelot in July of 2003.
It is a lovely, charming hotel located near the Colosseum.
We were able walked from the Lancelot to many of the famous sights in Rome.

BUT... they never did get the air conditioner to work properly we suffered for 3 days. Of course there was a heat wave that July.

Also ,don't bring a van to the Lancelot. The parking lot is about the size of my family room, and getting into it is even more fun.
Of course you don't want to drive period in Rome.
Air and parking aside, I would stay there again because of the location and price.

Just returned from a three night stay at Hotel Lancelot. I knew we were in for a treat when greeted by Mrs. Kahn upon arrival. She was warm and so friendly. My husband and I felt like family.

Our room was located on the 6th floor. We had a beautiful terrace surronded with flowers and plants. We were able to sit out there and view the Colosseum. The room was very clean and had great A/C and even feather pillows.

The breakfast was served in a very nice and clean dining room. Good coffee and basic essentials for a good start to your day.

The dinners were an exceptional value as well as a culinary experience. We ate at the hotel our last night in Rome and it will be a night we will always remember. Dined outside in a candlelit garden with other guests from the hotel. It was truly wonderful!

There was nothing that the staff at Lancelot would not do to accomodate their guests. The battery for our digital camera expired and we forgot our charger -- long story short Mrs. Kahn's son took our batteries and had them charged for us and left them in our mailbox the next morning. What a nice thing to do. Faris saved the day!!

Thank you Mrs. Kahn and your entire staff at Lancelot for making our stay in Rome unforgettable. Hopefully we can return to your oasis in Rome someday soon.
