We also found this hotel using Rick Steves, and as his opinion was seconded by Trip Advisor reviews, decided to book it for 3 nights. Couldn't have been happier. The location is on a relatively quiet (for Rome) one-way side street right next to part of the Imperial Forum and only a few blocks from the Colosseum. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Included breakfast was more than adequate and the cappuccino delicious. Anna, Paolo and Antonio were extremely helpful and speak excellent English. Rooms and baths not that small by European standards. Only negative is the size of the shower stall- miniscule. Hotel is very clean and totally charming. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We were very pleased with Hotel Nerva. We were always greeted cheerfully by the staff and they were very helpful, showing us tourist attractions on the map, making coffee "American style," organizing our taxi to the airport and making us feel very welcome and at home. The rooms were small, but very comfortable and clean. Although the shower was also small, the water pressure and hot water were great. The windows are double paned and the shutters block out the light, so you can get a great night sleep here, even though it is in a noisy and high traffic area. The breakfast was also very good. We stayed here twice during our vacation, and loved it both times. We would definitely return.

This hotel is practically part of the ruins of the forum and a 5 minute walk to the Colloseum, the National Museum and Palatine Hill. The rooms are not large, but immaculate. Family operated by a wonderful, friendly and helpful family. Many restaurants within walking distance.

Hotel Nerva is about a 5-minute walk to the Colosseum and the Forum - actually part of the Forum is right across the narrow street! - and very close to the national museum. So a wonderful location. And lovely people run the hotel, the free breakfasts were wonderful, and the room was immaculate and very comfortable. It's also five minutes from a fabulous, family-run restaurant, La Taverna dei Fori Imperiali (dinner only; make a reservation).
