“All we needed and more!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Just back from a 3 night stay in Rome. Felice was a great host with good English who bent over backwards to give us good information/recommendations etc. Breakfast was what the locals have of pastries, yoghurt & cappuccino. The room has an expresso machine which was a nice treat when we got back from evening meals and to wake us up in the morning. We stayed in the green room or Tulip room. Felice kindly showed us all the rooms and all were nice. The blue one has a view of church/street over the road. All were clean and had everything we needed such as hairdrier, mini-bar fridge and toiletries. Felice lives nearby but is in the accommodation till lunchtime each day to help if you need advice for the days itinerary. We found it handy for getting connections back to termini station as 10 minute walk. We found area nice, no problems walking about at night.

Would highly recommend to friends to stay here. Other tips: Felice recommended a restaurant round corner (Ristorante Pizzeria La Forchetta d'oro) a must do. Popular with locals and people queued at door in rain. Avoid the restaurant on corner beside Maggiore church ( Anticco Cafe SantaMaria). Great view, poor food and twice the price of the La Forchetta. Oh and see the Trevvi Fountain at night not to be missed.

Felice was so good to us and brought us breakfast early bc we were going to miss it! Very spacious and clean rooms! We would definitely stay again when we go back to Rome! We only got to stay 2 nights but to see Rome you definitely need more time! Cai

Considering my list of pros and cons below, I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B. If you are the type of person who hates paying high hotel rates and does not mind not having the services that comes with a hotel, then you will be very happy at Adriana & Felice.

PROS:
Large clean room with large clean bathroom
No street noises
In-room breakfast
Large bed
Air conditioning
Friendly host who speaks English
Proximity to Termini Train Station
Very low cost
Proximity to the quaint Monti area.

CONS:
Noise from other guests and the hosts in the hallway
Very hard bed
Termini area is far from Historic attractions – you can take the bus (we did not dare in the 35 heat) or you can take a cab for 10 euros – we took a cab in the morning and one in the afternoon and the total cost for a day was still much cheaper than a hotel in the center!
Termini area is run down – lots of graffiti, pee smells, garbage, etc.
Dated décor
Ordinary breakfast

Visiting Rome for the first time, I stayed at Adriana & Felice B&B. It was a wonderful experience ever since I e-mailed Felice for the first time. It is clear they love what they do: from the clean rooms, nice wi-fi, and a view (from my room) to Santa Maria Maggiore, to the very helpful emails and suggestions. Thank you very much Felice!

Probably the best B&B we stayed at for the price in Italy. The rooms were very clean, and both the bedrooms and the bathrooms were tastefully decorated and made us felt like home. Felice met us at the B&B and told us that he is at our service 24 hours a day during our stay. I consulted him on the various trips and Felice recommended several restaurants as well as a Gelato place. I did not get a chance to try all of the places he recommended but will definitely try to stay at this B&B again for my next visit.

Location was excellent as we tried to walk everywhere in Rome, except for our day to the Vatican where we took the train. The train station was only about 100-200 meters away.

Staying at Adriana & Felice's was a great experience from beginning to end. I was having a chat with Felice on the morning that we left & he told me it was a long held dream of his to run a hotel. And, as is often the case, it shows when someone loves what they do.

OK, these are the main reasons why I would recommend this place to anyone:
1. They were easy to book - Felice responded almost immediately to my email.
2. The room was perfect. Which is to say that it was of a high standard & there were none of those problems that some places have which detract from your stay. It was all new, it was spotlessly clean, the bathroom was clean & the shower was good. The minibar was well stocked and cheap. There was aircon & double glazing. And, it was quiet.
3. Breakfast is served in your room.
4. Felice (pronounced roughly 'fell-ee-che') is exceptionally helpful. He met us on the street when we arrived. He gave us some recommendations on where to visit. He recommended a great local restaurant (Nipotino something) which I will also give good feedback for.
5. The location is great - 4-5 mins walk from Termini (with heavy suitcases in tow). And, it was walking distance to most of the key attractions in the city, especially the colosseum. We also chose to walk back to Felice's from the Vatican & it wasn't too difficult (except that I'd just bought a pair of Birkenstock's & they really hurt the first time you wear them).
6. The value.

Room Tip: This is not a room tip, but just a couple of tips for Rome. 1. Buy tickets on line for the big attr...
